Why do Alliance lose AV so much?

Ι play AV every day and have been playing AV for weeks as I like it more than WSG.

Here’s why Alliance lose:

  1. Horde racials.

  2. Alliance have a few level 51;s, 52’s 53’s each game whereas Horde don’t.

  3. Horde is WAY more geared than the average alliance AV player. Last bg I counted 4 UD priests with benediction, 2 resto shamans in full T1 and a number of Rest Druids, all on 100% mounts. Alliance only had 1 Holy Priest on a 60% mount, 2 Resto Druids and like 7-8 Retardins who, ofc, only do DPS and won’t heal or BOF/HOF.

To sum up: Racials, Gear Disparity, Lack of healers and Loladins going Ret instead of healing.

I played Vanilla too and it was more or less the same back in Vanilla too.

its because most alliance are after rep and don’t want to win they just want to loot and afk its really bad to try and play as alliance now as most games give low honour

Even premades are not really trying to win.
They are looking for the best honor / hour and if 30 horde defends while 10 takes DB they let them do it instead of wipe them with few recalls because turtling against 30 horde is not worth the time investment.
That’s why alliance always try to avoid fight at mid: maybe they could push horde back to IB slowly and eventually win the game but if 5 from 1 rush works that makes a 10 min win and it worth risking.

I guess because all the good and geared Alliance players, a lot of them at least, don’t play in the BGs you join, they do premades.

Alliance have 10 afker at least in each game and 4+ fisherman…

And they give up easy like has already been said…

Because BLIZZARD ALLOW BOTS AND DONT DO SHET ABOUT THEM…
Thats why.

What ruin the game? Bots - what facks up the economy? - Bots -

Yet blizzard dont give a flying fack about them - DOOOH we need to 10000% sure its a bot…

Ppl deliver evidence etc, yet the same bots are still around…

Blizzard, you suck at your job.

Heres my two cents on it. i think alot of rankers are still doing AV as horde since the honor is kinda worth it still. while for alliance rankers they are exclusiviy doing WSG, with almost no queue time.

The distance between the caves, horde has a masssive advantage. IF alliance takes IB GY, horde has very short distance compared to alliance. If horde takes SH GY, alliance is screwed since they have to run so far.

Alliance are still doing the far right tactit to rush galv, and everyone gets picked of. no one stops to fight

i personaly have stopped doing AV (im alliance this time around) theres to many people not giving a damn. We dont have the tools to get them kicked out of the game.

The map design favors horde in every single way, its really that simple

  • Give up easily due to loss in 1st Push because of:
  • Disadvantage in Map
Horde have it closer to SH GY, when capped during 1st push alliance get camped and cannot escape like IB GY.
Furthermore Alli have it harder to pass SH GY when capped as they do not have 2 escape routes to south like Horde IB GY + the Terrain around IB GY has more trees and such to get past unnoticed

-If Alli Cap IB GY in 1st push, Horde easily wipe them with advantage of IB GY 2 Exits + the Cave is close by + the Archers in IB Tower are placed so that you arrive with lower HP, Horde can over some this issue as they have 3-4 paths that lead to SH GY

Stormpike GY same as SH GY enclosed cannot esacpe Jump ontop of you and free cast from the top. When compared to Horde FW GY Horde can escape + lots of terrain to hide

  • Alot more Bots and AFK player which cannot be reported properly

Guys, we have a very rare example of non braindead horde player right here.
Please add him to the red book and hande with care, he has to reproduce and spead his gene.

As an alliance player myself it’s quite simple:
Alliance=pve
Horde=PvP
You won’t find any good pvpers on Alliance since a serious pvper rolls horde.
Because a serious pvper picks the best racials= horde.
That’s all there is to it.
All the “pvpers” on Alliance are just people that try it out for some time or trying to get an item.
No worries horde, you are the best and eventually all PvP will be yours and yours alone.

Queues of 30-40 minutes is good motivation to drag out any games even if its a clear loss.
All this theorizing over honor per hour is useless noise for most Horde as its down to about 1 game an hour either way anyway.

I think that’s the main simple difference.

How often do you see alliance PUG mages strafing like mad, throwing CC/grenades and using all engeneerings/alchemy toolkit ?
I’ve never seen since the very beginning, yet every horde undead in every pug game throws a grenade/uses MC cap when sees me healing.

Thats because horde is much more pvp oriented due to racials.
Alliance has same people as well, but they are so minor they all stick to premades 24/7 and never visit a pug to be bound to some garbage male human backpeddlers alliance is full off.

Reasons:

  1. We got more casuals
  2. AV is caster heavy and horde always got more mage/lock/sp thanks to cool looking uds
  3. Queue times, we give up easier because no wait for next one. We prefer a fast loose over a 1 hour win
  4. In AV our main strength paladins cant shine
  5. Racials. Consider their 1vs1 effects and imagine it at 40vs40
  6. We cant take advantage of our strong things like fear ward/blessings in unorganized AV pugs

I’m not going to disagree with you.
I think those who wanted to have an edge in PvP rolled Horde. Its a far cry from what it used to be in Vanilla anyway when Alliance dominated AV and Horde was the smaller poorer faction.

I remember that being my first big shock when I tried playing an Alliance toon around the time AQ came out. I was stumped at how varied the auction house was and how many things you could actually just buy in game.
Up until then it was: look it up on Thottbot, see how/ where/ if it was possible to sort something yourself or with a couple of in-game pals.

Having said that though, it does seem like you are your own worst enemies. There are some amazing Alliance PvP players out there but the overwhelming faction attitude seems to be one of “attainable-mediocrity for everyone”.

Good Horde players are seen as an example or aspiration to get better by most Hordies.
Good Alliance players are negatively accused of being try-hards or no-lifers and put away or dismissed as an exception or ‘niche’ rather then being any kind of motivation to get better as a whole.

Why try and improve yourself when you have such low queue timers?

I legit seen a new AV strat from alliance over the weekend a 5 man team signs together, runs and kills all the LTs and then leaves the game instead of fighting it all out, it’s higher HPH to kill the lts and take the 15 minutes deserter over staying for 30 minutes.

Talk about mediocrity.

Horde have more gear? Maybe cuz Alliance are playing on their 9th alt while horde are still trying to get their main going. The only thing that Horde have more is players, in every other category, from skill to time, alliance have more.

Idd, look at the russians, for the most part they fight like their lives depend on it.
Alliance can use chokepoints against horde to equal measure, learn to adapt and not use a cookie cutter strat all the time because they have no idea what to do if a rush fails. The latter is also dependant on their queue times, easier to flight than fight and the failure of rankers not engaging with the rest of their faction.

The first 2-3 days of the AV nerf was the most fun yet, AV’s felt like wars that could go either way because many ranked players actually stayed and tried to win. That lasted until their next method for premades became managable.

They can if they want to, they’re just way to preoccupied with capping honor early each week.
