i actually couldnt find him at one point
but seriously, every pvp reward i get is useless. either the random drops are 20+ ilvl lower than what i have, or the stuff got for the 500 conquest cap are usually the wrong items. eg. this week i get an 385 trinket, but my trinkets are 395/405. HOWEVER, i would have liked a 385 ring, as mine is only 365. next 500 cap gives me 385 boots, when i have 400. still would rather the ring :\
the thing about pvp gear in the past is that as most gear was available to everyone, and you could choose which items to buy, like above i could buy a ring instead of a trinket, it meant that people could be on an equal footing, at least gear wise. and everyone would have access to decent gear.
most average pvps probably will be around 385~ lvl, cause thats basically all the gear you can get for non rated. however, if you are good at pve, or even DO pve, there is a chance you could have multiple, or even a full set of 400+ items.
a 385 pvper, going up against a 415+ pver is a bit unfair when the pvper has spent loads of time in bg’s whereas the pver has never done a bg in their life.
yes some pvpers do rated, and can get better gear, but you have to be of a certain rating, i currently am 1.3K 3’s (my S1 RBG team players have quit game, and ive been unable to find groups since) rewards me with 380 gear. this is totally useless as the gear from the conquest reward is 385. so if 1.4K rating gives 380 gear, its probably over 2K needed for 400ilvl or higher. (not certain of the rating needed for 400+). while 2k is easy for some, not everyone is a great pvper, or has access to the same teammates day in day out. just look at all the rated pugs that fall apart after 1 match (arena or rbg).
a pvp vendor is needed, and i think i heard that one is being put into the game with 8.2, BUT the pvp gear needs to be a bit better. this info seems incorrect now. im not aware of any pvp vendor being put into the game.
