I haven’t had any run yet where someone asked. People just follow the tank. Even more specific; i got in freehold last weekend, on a new char. And the tank was just doing the whole dungeon. We wiped somewhere by overpulling. But then i said in the chat “at least we do for once the whole dungeon. pretty fun.” and i got 3 dps saying “yes!”. In freehold all the groups rush to last boss, skipping everything else.
I didn’t experience this until today when a group decided to skip the first two bosses of plague fall… It irritated me because we missed out on xp. Okay its not a huge amount but it’s still a, good proportion especially if you have rested xp so it is irritating. Also some quests require you to kill some bosses so skipping them sucks if you’ve waited an age for a dungeon to pop.
You dont miss out on XP from bosses, they take time to do, time that is better spent by only killing the last 2 and then queuing up again and racking that end of dungeon XP bonus
Actually the majority wants to skip, do some 50-60 dungeons and find out yourself. Every single group is a group that skips, it’s extremely rare to have a group that does all the bosses, it’s simply a waste of time
I always ask start of run: skip or full? If running as tank.
If one person wants full, I do full. If no one speaks up, we skip.
If someone have problem with adding 1-2 Min to run for the one who want full, they are my guest to leave and reQ. If they wanna spend 2 minutes trying to boot me and find a different tank, then that’s up to them, but that’s the same time spent with less exp over the same duration than if they just strapped in and ran with it.
Its another same thread but from other side this time. How many did we have already? Ppl skipping bosses/ppl not skipping bosses. All over again.
3 out of 5 ppl want to skip? Do it.
3 out of 5 ppl dont want to skip? Clear it normal way. Its simple. We dont need to force every1 to choose one or another. Just talk about it with your group.
If one person wants to do a full run and 4 want to skip, I know what I’ll do, I wont waste the time of 4 people for one person.
Also being efficient while leveling (which is already a complete bore) is not egotistical.
The only person to blame here is Blizzard for making leveling an absolutely boring chore that a huge majority wants to skip through it as fast as possible to reach the end game.
If you think people want to take their time in low level dungeons, I have very bad news for you
Well as I said, feel free to do 50-60 dungeons and see what happens, I have facts, you dont. Every single group will skip, the extremely rare group will do all bosses, but the first word at the start of the dungeon is “skip ?” and it’s nearly always met with a positive response, its probably 99 to 1 for groups that refuse to skip, I have leveled enough characters to know that, 13 so far.
I understand that you are Grumpy and cynical and can not understand that some people actually can enjoy the game outside of level 60, and will probably not change or understand another view point, no matter how many people try to say it to you.
Now let’s just drop this as a whole and agree to disagree.
I’ll just go with what the tank and the majority wants to do. I’m fine with both skipping and doing the whole run in the 10-50 bracket (aswell as 50-60 even if it’s urrelevant here). Exp is exp, I’m not going to lose hair over spending some extra time in a dungeon or skipping it.
Even if the ideal max/fast exp route might technically be the ‘‘true way’’ to speed through alt leveling, there is nothing wrong with people just enjoying a full run instead. And not everyone has seen it all 100000 times yet. If you want only one of the other 100% of the time though, you’re better off with a full premade with likeminded individuals.
