I thought I’d go to the US forums to check on lore since the EU forums are dead. Instead of seeing people talk about lore, 90% of the time it’s just people talking about how problematic Warcraft is and that it’s from an Eurocentric viewpoint which is le hecking racism.
Not sure why these people continue to whine and cry and keep playing on a game they see is problematic in their eyes. Some of them have even grouped up on Twitter/X to combat the “problematic” undertones and are absolutely vile and toxic in doing so.
Makes me wonder if Blizzard is listening to these people, I sure hope not.
You have guys saying how problematic Trolls are because they’re based on Aztecs and Mayans, Empires who are long dead and decayed and that it’s problematic to paint these cultures as savages and tribalistic.
But then you look at the Vrykul who are basically just scandinavian vikings that murdered their own children and nobody has a problem with that.
Genuinely don’t understand how these people can’t seperate fiction and real life.
It’s the US, they literally try to find faults in any given thing because it’s their first world problems… living so comfortably they got to create issues to entertain their dull boring mundane existence.
Can’t tell you how much I miss my multi million dollar mansion working from home earning 50k a week if I wasn’t flicking through my 700 cable channels with my tv dinner sitting on my 500 pound frame…
This is true for most games forums. People who are predisposed to want to be mad and look for reasons to be mad, will rage about it online. Those who enjoy the product, are more likely to be playing the game rather than whining about it online.
That being said, lots of people also whine online because they want to be one of the people who’s rather playing the game because they enjoy it, but for one reason or another finds that to be difficult currently.
Basically what I’m saying is due to the natural state of things you’re always more likely to find negativity online when around a product, because negativity is a stronger impulse to react on. When we’re happy and content with something, we’re far less likely to spend our time expressing that to some random online forum, than just engaging with the thing that makes us happy and content.
(But yes, I’m very much of the opinion that people are also really eager to go out of their way to find something to be mad about - often because society has indoctrinated them towards being mad is good.)
Because their American and they think Californian or East Coast culture is somehow a European thing when it’s their own brand of rot bred by their own failures as a society.
because woke culture from america is just plain discrimination disguised as a moral knight. Americans love their woke stuff. And if i listen to woke people i never ever heard anyone else said as much discriminatory stuff like them
That is (and please, don’t take this as a 1:1 applications Americans!) because the USA has in general an average education problem. The amount of people having trouble even with the most basic logic thinking is abysmal over there.
