It amazes me how many of you seem to not understand that those factions are not real things, itâs still the same people playing on Alliance and Horde, there is no difference between those people. Alliance this, Horde that⌠lol.
My first character that I leveled ever was female human, after that as a pvp player I always played UD for the racials, so this time I thought I would make it harder for myself (boy, was I right) and for the sake of nostalgia make the female human again.
That being said I donât like the animations and have a hard time playing the character with the human skin, so most of the time I run under the effect of Noggenfogger elixir, just to get those UD animations.
Because Orgrimmar is a trash hole compared to Ironforge and questing in Kalimdor is crap (the latter applies to both sides).

Alliance for all but 2 chars (tried to level a third but got sick) on âretail wowâ up to cata where I quitted.
I only rolled a tauren DK (female) cause looked funny and an undead lock up to lv 85 or so on a german server (wanted to learn german but gave up with game, rather than language). Deleted an UD rogue 30 or so (or forgot about it).
Aside those exceptions I always rolled alliance for many reasons:
- towns are more regular, polished, sectioned (speaking about SW and IF mainly).
- areas to level are way more confident and drammatic, such lakeshire, duskwood, even westfall with the Defias Drama.
- itâs more of a challenge, especially nowdays, with the horde outnumbering (even if sometimes itâs a bit frustrating and pissing). In istance atm levelling my huntress in Southern STV (pirates and sh!t quests, between 843704 hordes).
- if I have to watch for hours, DAYS the screen, I rather watch something nice looking (thereby female chars) than some wandering zombie, or green retarded zug-zug shrek, or some Chianina Steak moo-ing and sneezing.
- iâve at memory quests and areas
- barrens sucks, pains my eyes just crossing them due to the map color scheme (orangish)
- Kalimdor sucks in general (even Nelves areas, just map design that I cannot tollerate, having to wander deep into an unknow zone to get it discovered). In fact both my alts N-elf left early Kalimdor at lv 6-10 in order to follow Lordaeronâs questlines.
- I donât like the ganking style of the horde (nor for alliance, nowdays, just for the horde is genetic, for alliance is willing).
Instead you rolled horde for racials.
