When I started it was an IRL pal who got me into the game and he played Alliance.

There are no scars on my back.

I play both.
Alliance because void elves and fit my characters better (Arcane Mage and Shadow Priest)
Horde because my DK here was created as blood elf and her story is mostly around being a Quel’dorei then a Sin’dorei. On top of that the blood elf racial becomes handy at times; void elf racial does nothing for DK.

Vanilla: Oo, Nelf pretty.
TBC: Oo Belf pretty.

I play both but prefer to play Belfs.

I had always been Alliance until recently. Originally because Horde had no races that I wanted to play (no BEs at the time yet), and then I stuck with Alliance because all my WoW friends were there.

After I came back to the game and guilds as well as M+/raid groups became cross-faction, I switched to Horde for Vulpera. I’m happy there. My Evoker is still Alliance, but I don’t play him currently, so he’ll stay there until that changes.

When I was first introduced to the game those friends played Horde. So I feel most at home in the faction that I joined first. At the time the Alliance felt a lot more like variations of human like races. There seemed more fantasy races on the Horde.

I started off as a female Orc Warlock. I started during TBC and I didn’t make my first paladin until Wrath of the Lich King.

These days I have one of every class and then many paladins to fill the rest of my account. They are both Horde and Alliance, and male and female for greater variety in looks.

I was playing Alliance most of time just because of the capital. Stormwind imo is much much better organized compared to Ogrimmar. Especially considering no flying in early days and two-level structure with elevator of Orgrimmar drove me mad. In BfA I tried both factions and oh boy how lucky I was to be Alliance. Alliance part of BfA for me is so better then Horde side in terms of plot, zones, music, aestetics…

But now, when faction doesn’t really matter, I’m playing Orc just because of racial.

I play horde because trade chat is more entertaining :smiling_imp:

Except when I switch realms then I play alliance so I can follow Soul around on my moth mount showing off Arfus :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Edit: This post was intended as a little bit of fun, it was not aimed at anyone specific unless outright named and the named person knows it was a joke and gives as good as they get.

I play Alliance as there are fewer players compared to the Horde, so your chances of running into disrespectful players is a bit lower.

I played Horde since the beginning of WoW and switched over to Alliance half way through Legion. Since then haven’t really looked back.

After decades of pen-and-paper-rpg I had enough of humans / elves / dwarfes.
So Horde it is, with some Alliance chars for story.

I play both but I gravitate more towards alliance, because cities look better and transmogs look best on humans. Also, the game feels narrated from the Alliance pov most of the times to me, so I feel overall more involved.

It doesnt matter much anyway anymore, It is all the same. Rename to Horliance or Allorde :smiley:

Void elves
Anduin is my favorite character
Stormwind is better than orgrimmar

But im fairly open to changing factions whenever.
Ive mained both at different times.
Should the horde get something cool that i want to play, maybe ill go back. Maybe not.

I play alliance because:

After I returned from an extended break from the game, I wanted something different and I had played horde from vanilla up until the end of WotLK. So I went alliance.

I remained alliance because I enjoy their towns a lot more. I’m also no longer into the ‘edgy, badass’ type of tropes, which the horde has way more of (I used to be into that when I was young - but life and experience happened).

I only played Horde until WoD (I actually disliked Alliance at first), then when the models were updated suddenly I liked Dwarves way more than my original race (Tauren), and a few years later Kul Tiran were added.

So now I play mostly Alliance, because I prefer a couple of races over there, but I still like the Horde more as a faction overall.

lol I play both, faction only comes with the race I pick for the character what I had in mind as an idea for one, factions hold no importance to me. :dracthyr_hehe:
