Why do you play

So much this …
I remember glefully turning in handful after handful of bug wings to gain reputation with Brood of Nozdormu - wanting Dirge’s Kickin’ Chimaerock Chops  and killing elementals for Hydraxian Waterlords. All WHILE levelling - yes.

And in contrast how frustrated I felt when at level 113 I had collected a handfull of Briarback Quills in BfA. The text on the Quills told me that Hobbs, the Quillboar enthusiast might be interested. But Hobbs wanted nothing to do with my main or his quills. A search at Wowhead told me why. He had to be honored with Storm’s Wake - which of course you cannot be until you reach level 120 and can do world Quests. I exited the game.

What is really buggering me is vendors pretending you can have their stuff, when in reallity you need to be level 120 to buy them. Be honest!!!
An example: I want to buy a recipe from Tortollian Seekers. Looking at the sales window I see.
I have to be level 100 - current level 113 :heavy_check_mark:
I have to have learnt Kul Tiran cooking - current skill level 25 :heavy_check_mark:
I have to be at least Honoured with Tortollan Seekers - current reputation level still Neutral :small_red_triangle_down: - that’s why it’s red.
Before I went there, I had done all the Quest given to me by this guy’s friends. There’s no way whatsoever I can get any more reputation with this faction until I reach maximum level and do World Quests . Until then I can’t do a thing to augment my reputation with the Tortollans. I can’t kill any enemies. I can’t cook up Tortollan delicacies. I can’t hand in any ancient scrolls or anything. I’m forced to reach level 120 before I can get any more reputation with the Tortollan Seekers.
Why can’t this vendor just tell me: "You have to be level 120 to start looking at all the goodies I have for you, sorry. Return later, mate."
Sorry, this became rather much of an anti BfA-rant. Maybe I should cross-post over at that forum.
