Why do you play

What do you want to get from the game.

Uhh… some fun? I guess.

Because I like the old Azeroth world

Old world is better and more fun than “new” worlds.

I want it to die and it’s design principles transferred into next expansions of WoW.

How come? What do you gain from that?

A break from irl when I wake up with my coffey, spent the entire day at work, socializing to much, in a bad mood or just have nothing to do.

Can also be when I decide to talk to my friends I got from WoW.

How did it go into a retail vs classic thing?

The reason I asked is that after all this time I cannot decide what type of character to play!

Because classic is better

Hoped you would know

I wanna clear all raids and get the cool gear. I wanna do fun world pvp and be part of a nice community.

So far so good.

Because I like this good old Talent Tree system.

Because back then those people who made Vanilla and TBC, actually knew what they were doing and created a really awesome MMORPG that clearly stands strong even today and Classic is the proof of that.

Because Classic doesn’t have horrible things like “level boosts” to create high-level noobs and poison endgame with them for everyone who got there by actually playing the game and learning their class.

Because I hate Subscription based games with Cash Shop, like Retail, and I would never play anything like it.

Gnomeheads on pikes.
The more the merrier.

It seems like on retail every class does the same now

a little fix of nostalgia and a deep, rational understanding that MMORPG is not for me

I play for personal enjoyment.

But all enjoyment I find is raiding, which is rather limited when you only have a single character at 60.

Fun, relaxing game, where I’m free to choose my own way through the World. Azeroth as it was in Vanilla (the map). Old talents (not Specs) … Quest text that I can understand, Quests I can do on my slow journey to max level - I might never reach max level as I have too much to do and see on the way there
To sum it up: Freedom and fun!

To get to 60, that’s about it. Hopefully Shadowlands is good otherwise im probably done with WoW

Because this game is my all time favorite and had a blast playing it back in 2006. It remembers me of simpeler times and my teenage years. I think it’s nostalgic and I can never say goodbye to this game even nowadays my gametime is almost zero.

I use the game to unwind.

I am an altoholic and play different chars everytime I log in, depending on the mood.

What type of char to play; As in what your role is in a dungeon group?
In a roleplay session?
In pvp?
In solo or group questing?

I choose the char I want to play based on what animations I want to look at, how much difficulties I can handle the evening or if it is this evening I just want to be someone else.

I don’t know if I specific chase something to gain from the game - I enter on the char I can’t stop myself from playing with
