In Classic everything feels epic and the things you do actually matter. The world feels immersive. You meet tons of people because there’s tons of socializing going on, you make lifelong friends. Meanwhile retail feels like a fast lobby game. I’m not sure why but I just can’t get enough of Classic, in retail I feel like logging out after 15 min.

I’m the opposite, I quit after our 10th naxx clear. Classic no longer feels epic and nothing I do matters.
Phase 1 leveling was amazing, first MC was amazing, phase 2 BRM runs were amazing, BWL opening, AQ event was amazing, first naxx was amazing, first piece of T3 was amazing.
Now it’s just a game on maintenance mode to me. Why it feels amazing? Fresh starts tend to be fun, even more so in games where community plays such an important role. None of which are present in retail. And a dash of nostalgia.

Maybe they should add new content? In the form of Classic way. Old school runescape
HOWEVER I’d outsource it. Not made by Blizzard entertainment. Let retail be the twitter dumpsterfire. I’d quit it for classic+
Bc its more rewarding, it “forces” players to be social… So u get more social interactions… Less complicated so more players can enjoy it…

If they did it right then I would much prefer that over TBC personally. TBC 2021 edition is gonna be so much further removed from 2007 TBC than classic was to vanilla. Most people are gonna speed level in dungeons to avoid PvP, those who don’t are gonna get camped and the classic economy is so inflated that seeing someone without a flying mount immediately at 70 is gonna be like seeing a unicorn.

Shadowlands = afk oribos ( depressing city ) tagging in pvp or m+
zones dont matter , open world is giga dead .

I think TBC if they keep there word will be okay .
I know they need to use a later patch to make it work on current servers but i hope they have learnt from classic and stats .
Lets face it people were 60 and clear raids within couple weeks due to how powerful the gear scaling was.
Most lack luster place ever i hate it .

The weekend will be over in 4 hours don’t worry and we won’t see the same spam thread pop up.
I wish this thread were spam. I was gearing my palading over the weeken, joined few communities and applied for 8 guilds. Got invited only by 1 so i joined and there is sitting 7 playeres. Nobady was communicating, nobady was responding jsut 7 bots doing their solo stuff. So i joined classic and my guild have over 70+ online players all chating, doing dungeons and doing community events. No sir this is not spam.

The game itself will be fine and will have much of the same hype as classic did in terms of phases.
The difference is that when classic launched, the vast majority including myself came into the game completely clueless and only private server guilds were clearing MC after a few weeks but for most people it was relatively reminiscent of OG vanilla, layering aside. Classic is not that game anymore, it’s been a min max simulator rifled with boosts and gbids since AQ even though it started popping up late MC.
Whether that’s a good or bad thing is subjective, but I have no doubts TBC will be minmaxed far earlier than classic was across the board.
