I’ve just recently taken a step back from mythic raiding but I can honestly say I couldn’t care less nor does it affect me in any way for a WF to give 400 ilvl gear. It’s just insignificant.
This is mechanical issue that definately should be solved, i fully agree and emphatise it is absolutely stupid to force people do just certain one kind of content to keep up with the actual content they like. I think necklevels should come equally from all the sources where people need those levels, weighted on the content where you need it the most. I think it is always a sign of bad design/non fun content if they need to make people do it with any kind of “carrot” or such.
Free loot has become the norm, if you choose not to get it, you do fall behind to your guild/friends. Gearing shouldn’t be based on RNG of getting right free loot item and warforge/titanforge/socket.
Well guess it is folly trying to convince someone that only gets gear from warfronts that it’s bad, you couldn’t see it since you don’t do any other content, it’s the best for you clearly.
Well you are literally in full warfront gear, it’s expected you are for the free loot as it doesn’t harm your progression since your progression is warfront loot.
I do love this concept of ‘free’ loot, it’s not like you go up to an NPC and they randomly give you something. You get a quest, complete it and then get a random reward. It’s not free, you have to endure a WF.
Or join a group that kills world boss, you can just stand next to it, no need for anything really. Even get to reroll for chance at 2nd item, or chance at item if you didn’t get one in first place.
Even if it’s not your main, you got no pvp achievements, 2 mythic0 dungeons finished and no raid bosses killed in current content on this account. What else to assume?
If you don’t want someone to leech off you then don’t join groups or do the groups yourself and kick people who do nothing.
Leeching is a completely separate issue that happens throughout WoW. I refuse to join random groups for WQs because I’m not doing the work for someone else.
Let’s see sample “Lanie” here. “Full of warfront gear”, ilvl 372. How is this any way threat to your progression? Are you having troubles to reach this ilvl yourself and worrying Lanie will take your spot in your raiding team? Do you feel less superior looking at her ilvl?
I don’t mind leeching, I give random people free gear whenever I can, but saying warfront gear isn’t free is silly, it’s not even remotely challenging.
It’s threat to my progression when she advocates for free gear that threatens my progression by forcing me into doing trivial content to get high ilvl loot that I’d rather get progressively.
