Why does EU hate the horde

like no horde servers at all. biggiest one is like 2000 vs 6000-8000 alliance players . really dont want play on us server just so can play horde… cause lack of players on it

It stems from Som being so alliance heavy. Before then horde had the numbers.
Som in the Us was that too ofc but there is another factor.

Us players had options to transfer too; from east/west split of the player base.
On Eu we only had the firemaw cluster as an active option, for nearly the entirety of era.

From the start (when there was so few of us) we all consolidated on that cluster. So firemaw was the first era server on eu or us to reach medium, high and full pop (even compared to hc/rp realms). But it was also the only really big server on eu. Like all the english, french, germans and what have you went there.

In terms of the effects It is not too bad, I mean leveling might be slightly worse of an experience hordeside.
But that is also about it.

The majority of players on the pvp cluster, are not active pvp players.
And even less so for the alliance, horde generally has longer queues (imagine that).
So you just have more targets honestly. And you typically enjoy better winrates as horde.

The world can be active, but is generally rather calm outside hotspots (stv/brm).
Maybe bit of an uptick on weekends. But then alliance presence is only really felt on EK.

Horde on Firemaw is pretty big. We have anywhere between 45 to 50k auctions in the AH.

Alliance has, for reference, anywhere between 55-60k+, so while the Alliance is bigger, is nowhere near a threatening majority.

Also, bear in mind these numbers are truly humongous for a Classic server. Gehennas EU back in the day (biggest Classic server) had an average of 30k items to sell in the AH, so go figure.

So I am not so sure where you are getting your numbers, but they are definitely not on par with what I see. I suggest you create a char on horde and check Orgrimmar on any evening. This will make it even more clear than all I could say here.

what are you talking about? firemaw cluster has more horde than biggest server in the world did in actual classic?

flagged for trolling

i am not sure this is the case. Firemaw Horde side is perfectly alive and vibrant. In case you are unsure about the numbers, i would check AH active auction counts. I consider that the best proxy for activity.

Benefits of playing Horde include a little less GDKP spam and a higher BG win rate

Alliance AH Firemaw Era : 66.1K
Horde AH Firemaw Era : 45.8k

Alliance Pyrewood Village Era : 15.8k
Horde Pyrewood Village Era : 6.6k

interesting - thanks for putting this together

You’re welcome, I don’t have any characters on the low population realm cluster.

2nd PvP cluster, I got bored and looked.

Alliance AH Stonespine Era : 13, not 13k just 13 all from one person.
Horde AH Stonespine Era : 0, yeah none at all.

Used this to pick a realm.
