Why does getting kicked in RDF give you deserter?

Some loser decides to initiate a vote at the very start of a dungeon for basically nothing and everyone mindlessly clicks yes and that means I can now not do dungeons for at least half an hour? Makes no sense Blizzard

Clicking no is faster as the yes button has a cooldown. You also are able to read the reason usually before clicking yes in such cases.

Proposals so far include but not limited to:

  • “Just remove it” The darkest times will come back again
  • “Reduced cooldowns stacking upwards” so that if you aren’t kicked often, it starts with a minor debuff.
  • “Reduced cooldowns, stacking downwards” so if you’re in a “good” party, then when they surprisepikachu kick you at the end the cooldown is lower.
  • “Warning before Debuff” - When you get removed from dungeon you get a Warning but allows you to requeue, if you get kicked again you get debuffed on subsequent leaves.
  • “Add reporting for kicking” - This is akin FF where they investigate if someone is really, really using votekick so often and gets reported for it that often as well. WoW used to do this.

If you have a proper suggestion, you may submit it through the ingame feedback box. I also would like to know to see if the suggestion can be improved making it into a better experience for everyone involved.

Yeah I have a suggestion, just don’t have it. No one is gonna ask to get kicked in a leveling dungeon lol

Yet, they asked the others to kick you from a levelling dungeon. While I think it is strange too they would, they are unfortunately allowed to do this.

If you see a good suggestion from my master list above, please also submit it through the ingame box to get it changed, thanks!

?

That has nothing to do with the issue that you highlighted earlier which btw is also a non-issue and anyone with more time in-game than on the forum would know that.

Not touching the in-game suggestion box cause it’s useless and can only hope that these devs wake up but considering the state of Cata servers I’m not gonna hold my breath.

i’m 15 minutes in the queue, i join an ongoing EOTS, the enemy controls 3 bases, has 800 points and is waiting for a 4 base flag cap, i go to the uncontrolled base, we fail to take it, i die, by the time i res enemy controls all 4, they now have 1300 points, i sit and wait, i get inactivity debuff because some loser who probably fought in the middle for the entire fight reported me afk, i immediately jumped down to tag someone, i still got the deserter debuff even tho i tagged an enemy within 20 seconds :man_shrugging:
i still see no better alternative, it shouldn’t be 30 minutes tho, the queues alone are enough of a punishment
