Whenever I report someone in chat, it deletes last 5 minutes of chat. This makes me not want to report people anymore. I’m not using any chat addons, so don’t blame them.

It’s probably Blizzard thinking they’re helping you by trying to remove the offending text. Why it doesn’t just remove the line/lines from the guy you reported is beyond me. It deletes a ton of my chatlog too whenever I spam report someone.

Imagine reporting befor ignoring someone :'D how many times i couldn’t§ ignore someone due to the chats missing.

Pretty sure reporting for language also ignores them.
It does but it’s only temporary, if you relog it clears it and you can see their messages again.
The problem with ignoring is that you can be playing an alt 2 months later, and the other guys is also doing the same… and you cant speak. You join an instance group, and you start raving at him for being rude- then the group says that he IS speaking yourejust ignoring him ( ignore is account wide now)
