" Why don't we have more players in pvp?"

Of course people don’t make the right decision, yet, to play into your example, imagine someone eating 20 cookies and then yelling at you for getting 1.

It’s the petty attitude of the rejects that’s extra annoying to deal with " just report them lol" , already doing it and it’s a constant issue.

At some point, you also have to look down on the people that, as you said, take more cookies than 1 as it was intended.

in the end only power to make a difference is on blizzards hands, people do whatever they want to do, which currently have been choosing to not play their game because they dont enjoy it enough. this either bothers blizzard or doesnt bother blizzard. this is the reality.

True, however, the glad rejects can also be held accountable for being “fun people to be around” , gate keeping then crying about it.

nah its not realistical for me to do anything about it, its out of my control. ofc i despise it how people play the system but in the end blizzard made it possible so who is at fault and who has the only power to change it.

if blizzard dont provide system thats fun for people to play then we see majority not playing it like now. this either bothers them or doesnt bother them, its just reality. i think they dont care but it also dont matter what i think.

I can’t do anything either, I can only play and pray to get the better rejects in my rounds so I can be done with getting to 1.8.
I can only feel pity for the rejects, nothing else, pity for preying on new/average players.

vote with your wallet i guess and hope it makes enough effect to matter :dracthyr_shrug:

i dont see how it would or even if dozen pvpers would unsub would make any difference but its also true for only action that matters. ive stopped care for this expansion ill see how tww is and see if my passion for wow returns.

That’s too far going, I enjoy the game overall, just not how the current season of pvp is being handled, and call it, sheer collector bozoism or addiction, but I’ll have to force myself playing in these circumstances.
:upside_down_face:

well atleast you enjoy something, i havent enjoyed single thing yet in df im waiting the expansion to end since season 1 lol

This will be out from the main subject, however, outside of the lore/god comp fiasco of season 2 and rated pvp, the expac is fine for me.

i only care about pvp and they ruined it for this expansion with shuffles so for me its over since launch. balancing could also be better as usual and what i see from pve were not only ones not enjoying the expansion.

Nobody is gatekeeping anything. Most people with high experience start at much higher mmr than 1.5. If you’re referring to some 2.4 “experience” ret paladin accounts from S1, sure.

Then go get it, this is the 58278th thread where someone is struggling to push rating as a DPS, blaming the game and others for it, instead of asking advice on how to play better, because gulping ego is hard even for people who struggle to get Rival 1

Nobody is going to low rating to show anything. Literally nobody. If someone is stuck on 1.5 with you then you are likely the same skill level or very close to it. High experience players went way beyond 1.5 in the first 2 days of the season.

They probably are wannabe glads, the question is, why are you still losing to them?

Exactly! So purchase a mirror on amazon and point the finger in the mirror.

Because the amount of high experience players on 1.5 is the same as the amount of rocket engineers working at your local supermarket

I’m not referring to the 2.4 rets of season 1, play a shuffle, inspect and see for yourself the rogues/dh/locks/eles that went over 2.1, yet somehow play in 1.5.
I’m not blaming the game, as much as I see ret struggling since the last batch of season 2 nerfs, I still play it, if anything, I’m blaming the 2.4k joe the rogue that instead of playing at his level, magically, dropped to 1.7 mmr and rating for what I wonder…
Go and again, see for yourself how lower rating games are, in shuffle atleast.
Wanna be glads or how I call them, the glad rejects, are still better at pvp than your average pvper(me) or a newer player, how do I lose to them? Gee, I wonder, have a 3rd grader do 12th grade maths and let me know how it went.
Yes, high experience rejects went to 2.1-2.4 and some stood at that level, while others chose to be finger smellers and play in lower rating.
In what world, especially on a meta spec, how dh was at the start of the season and still is now, you can go from 2.4k then drop flat at 1.7, really now, either it’s account sharing boosting or caught a frostbite and their hands don’t work no more.

To add an extra, how is one supposed to learn to play the game or to improve, when you have so much interactive gameplay when facing an experienced, dh/rogue/shaman/mage, surely, I can learn and adapt over the fact that beyond that I’m perma slowed and if I even dare to cast freedom, it gets purged/spell stolen or out-kited, i also pop like a baloon outside of bubble while having over 36 vers ( I was at 42 vers too, tried to go without 4 set, since the ret one ain’t really good overall, especially in pvp).

If I had to face an average individual playing these, sure, room for errors and I can play against it and learn more about it, having to see a sub rogue go 100 to 0 someone while in kidney/cheap spam makes me learn what exactly? That without the 8 secs of bubble, in which the rogue can vanish, kite me off or pop evasion or cloak, I’m not allow to play the game?

Previous season, as a healer, i was against a duel or glad etc every second game. Now in almost every round there is one of them, at 1.2 rating. At 1.2 !!!. Well let the glads play their game. I m out of this for sure and for long time.

I feel you :upside_down_face:

Honestly, stomping noobs is fun, outplaying people is how you realise your own progress. What’s not fun is winning when you shouldn’t’ve or losing when you shouldn’t’ve. I don’t mind facing glads at 1.6, I mind facing them and having no way of outplaying them.

Yes. Works like 1% of the time, against super horrible healers that you should defeat easily even without it and wastes major defensive cooldowns.

Super garbage idea.

There are literally like 5 things you need to push rating as a Ret paladin, as it is a relatively simple spec. If you feel like reading for a free +400 rating go ahead

  1. Use Blessing of Sanctuary to remove Stuns and Fears from your healer. If you are struggling to notice CC on your healer, consider using the “Healer CC” Weakaura on wago .io which will give you an on-screen notification for this

Bonus to 1): Use Freedom on a healer that is Root-Beamed by Moonkins.

  1. Always stun enemy healer on CD because if you stun DPS it will get dispelled or the very least the enemy healer will heal your damage because he’s free

  2. Play Blessing of Spellwarding in almost every game (excluding the ones where there’s no magic damage or the scarier dmg is physical). It’s a literal bonus magical dmg bubble which makes you immune to all caster dmg, all DH dmg, most DK dmg, some Survival hunter / Enha shaman / Ret damage. It’s literally the most OP Ret CD. If you give it to a teammate who is dying to the things listed above they will survive. It also makes the target immune to magic CC such as magic stuns, sheeps, fears, etc.

  3. Use your Blessing of Sacrifice on a DPS teammate if they’re focused and your healer isn’t free, or in general to help a teammate survive.

  4. Into heavy Physical matchups like Hunters, Windwalkers, Arms Warriors, Rogues use your Blessing of Protection to save a teammate. This is especially important in Shuffle if your teammate is a caster that is getting smacked hard, like a Warlock.

And that’s it. Do those 5 things and you’re at least +300 rating to what you currently are. Because literally everything else for Ret paladin is doing damage. I don’t think “dying without using Bubble” should be here as it is supposedly obvious

So, Tibiscovus you must understand that it is not that duelists, glads and legends are met even at 1.2 rating now that makes your game xp bad or hindering yr progress, it is actually that you are not following the advice Irony gives. The moment you follow his advice, no matter what and how many legends and elites you meet at 1.2-1.5, you ll start having progress.

I’m open for advice, I appreciate it, however, the glad rejects know how to deal with this, I was already doing what he suggested, sancing the healer, using freedom on my teammates, I’m even using the every 6 secs instant flash of light proc I get before dampen starting kicking in.
Thing is, the gladiator rejects know that’s coming and play around it, I sanc my healer? no worries for’em, they just go blow me off or wait for a few seconds, I’ve mentioned it beforehand, facing people above you in skill, when you shouldn’t due to the rating shouldn’t occur, me doing my job doesn’t stop any of the glads not doing theirs, besides, ret may have utility and and dmg( if you only look at the end numbers), yet you never see them around, I’m asking this for anyone in this thread, be honest, how many rets do you see after 1.2k ?
There’s dmg, however no kill pressure, like how an arms has due to healing reduction or other specs via their more potent burst( you can’t tell me with a straight face that an ele shaman/ rogue/ dh doesn’t burst harder than a fully stacked crusade ret)
I have utility with sanc/bop/spellwardsing/sac, yet you see no rets around, for how much utility they have, you’d expect them to be more popular riiight?
Sanc lasts only 5 secs for 45 secs, it’s impactful, but not game winning considering how the meta is rn.
Bop can be stolen/purged and only works on physical dmg, spell warding only on magical so if you’re against mixed dmg, gl with that( sure other classes don’t have them, and I’m being nitpicky, considering I can use them on allies too, I can take the L on when it comes to bop/spell warding).
Blessing of sac because such a bait in today’s meta on how easy it is to cleave, that you may end up inting for using it, I’m even considering entirely dropping the talent making it a 1 min cd instead of a 2 min one for how many times, it just gave free extra dmg on the non-cd cleave of specs.
What’s extra funny about the suggstions is how when I use spellwarding/bop on an ally, they swap on me and for being a plate wearer, I pop like a baloon and the self healing? Oh boy, I’m sure getting the juicy, non dampening, 120k crits with healing hands WoGs has so much impact when my health pool is 945k in pvp :upside_down_face:

All in all, I find it ironic, yet again, how " rets are sooo good man, trust me, I main a ret" takes, yet you look at see that there are only 6 rets( actually 5 players, one’s an alt), at 2.4k in shuffle at this week, up until week 3, I kept looking, there were no rets above 2.4k, highest at that time was 2320, and now you have a look at havoc and you see 63 players

Should I do the same for rogues and warlocks?
Surely that won’t be the case riiiight?
No wonder you see the glad rejects only playing these specific specs/classes all the time.

It’s quite simple
We have a lot of people in casual PVP
Rated PVP is unpopular because its to complex and punishing for normal / casual players.
They don’t like dying in one stun or get one shotted.
If this is how the game will be from now on then we need to scrap MMR and rating and replace them because we will always have low participation and MMR problems.
