Why has my trust level decreased?

I was level 3 for years and now all of a sudden i get the “you can’t include links in your post” error message. Went to check my trust level and it’s level 2 now. How does this make sense?

Because they fixed the bug that gave accountwide TL3 to all shadowlands beta testers.

I mean… i know blizzard isn’t the fastest when it comes to fixing bugs but SL beta was in 2020. Also i don’t even remember if i had access to it since i never log in on beta.
And ignoring that bug i have fulfilled the requirements for TL 3 long ago. I literally looked them up and actively worked on finishing them.

So it still makes no sense at all.

Because you shouldnt had it in first place if you had it via this some 5 years old bug through beta access from shadowlands that never dropped. There is vast amount requirements for this TL3 that we should read immense amount of threads on forum. Considering how active I self are on forum I also lost mine due “inactivity” cause apparently I still didnt read enough. Happy if others dont get to keep theirs via bug then if others can lose theirs over trivial reasons aswell. Bugs get fixed anyway. It seems everyone are on equal standing now anyway regards rules of trust levels on this platform, after all we are all also equal paying customers and suspected to have equal rights.

We are a bunch of people that had it from having beta and lost it yesterday. I assume you were one of those. And even if you have earnt the TL3 it is a continuous «grind» to keep up with the «have to visit 50 days within the last 100 days» and read 20k posts within the last 100 days and so on. I was also surprised I lost it cause I thought I was active enough to maintain it, but clearly I’m not

Yes its an extremely tedious and “hard grind” to obtain and maintain, I got it once legitimately and I also lost it due “inactivity” even though I dont miss a day on forum. Seems to me only right if there is not then people who have it “permanently” through any bugs. But in the end just like any bugs in the game blizzard fixes them eventually.

Now theres only this one thing left that we still have no way of tracking our tl3 progress or really have clear requirements of it, just something we can guess from old txts and discourse requirements which might not apply for forum or be correct.

Ok so you basically have to live here now.

Eh, w/e. Not worth it then. A company that treats pvp like the unwanted child and needs 5 YEARS to fix a bug is not worth this kind of dedication.

Even that doesnt help, look at me, I’m on forum everyday. And I lost mine due “inactivity” there is vast amount requirements for it. Basically you need to read gazillion threads and posts in them during some 100 days period, this all is also not absolute and something what people are just guessing so also annoying not know certain.

Technically you could “farm” it by reading bunch of threads from start to end in some dead part of forum and gain it faster (technical support). Almost what we already did in arena forum except theres not enough traffic to create new threads :joy:

Kinda agree

I know. It’s the same for me. But the level of narcissism you must have to even implement TL3 with these requirements is just way off the charts.

Like i said, i did grind it once. But apparently i didn’t consider the “keeping it” part.

Hard to not agree with that, the list of requirements for it what ppl have pasted and what I have found looks ridiculous. And people who even come forum to read posts and engage with people daily are still not able to maintain theirs tells alot of the requirements. I also gained it once and were then confused to see it had just dropped due “inactivity” even when technically I havent been inactive even a day since I join forum :joy:

I never did any Betas…

This is the craziest one. You really have to grind the forums daily if you want to keep up with that. Is it worth it? No. I’d rather play the game instead, or do other stuff IRL.

It was fun while it lasted, but we all know that “fun is not allowed” at Blizzard’s.

Well bugs will obviously be fixed no matter what. Its also right for the other people who did not have it via bug

Yep, it is. Technically one can cheese it by going through some dead parts of forums new threads fast from start to finish aswell.

Then I don’t know what happened :woman_shrugging:t3: I just know I had the accountwide TL3 since SL beta and since yesterday I don’t have it. At least makes the salty people happy that we lost it, so that’s good I guess :joy:

That’s what she said.

I dont think its very nice labeling people “salty” if not allowed to maintain some privilege from a bug affecting few lucky posters. Obviously everyone should have same rights as equal paying customers on a private platform that has a fee on it.

Blizzard will fix bugs eventually no matter are they in game or in forum anyway so what people think personally is irrelevant really regards that but I agree its nice if there is fairness in the forum regards trust levels and people dont have it from bugs if others have to grind theirs or farm massive amounts of threads to keep theirs. I mean this should be only obvious why it is fair or why it got fixed cause its bug.

They should update this system, it’s obviously flawed. I think that the vast majority of people had TL3 because of the beta. I noticed that pics/gifs suddenly disappeared from all topics since yesterday.

Agree and same, noticed many people just also stopped posting. Annoying it took a bug fix that this even got discussion. Would be helpful get a blue post to give details of the requirements at this point.

It’s basically an activity level. So if you drop back below it for a prolonged period then you lose TL. Shouldn’t go below TL2 though.

It’s really not worth farming or trying to maintain.

The requirements are listed in this post: The Ultimate Forum Guide (Codes, Trust Levels, FAQ)

In case anyone was unaware.
