Make the effort and deal with the chaff and rise above the pettiness of others this is as others have stated a MMORPG and your expected to deal with people and people are idiots I do not condone or ever advocate elitism of any sort but I also know that in order to improve and get what you want you have to work at it and also work alongside people who you do not like chances of meeting them again on a PUG is slim to non existent so it’s just one of those things.
In the good old days the tools that cause so many problems for so many people did not exist sadly it’s Blizzard’s messed up ideas when it comes to what needs to be fixed in the game that has lead to issues like this. I do have some Sympathy OP trust me but at the same time like so many others I have worked for what I have and will continue to do so.

Remember when you actually had to grind to be competitive in pvp? Now you can ding 120 and enter pvp with 80k hp and still play competitively against people with 210k hp.
people take wrong attitude against the griefers and toxic players, never let them go under your skin, never swear at them, instead start to ask them realy silly questions, the less sence your question has the better, like why is a banana yellow, any silly question they usualy go totaly berserk, what can be realy funny to read, specialy when they do not know what to answer, once you done whit them you report them, becuse you never done anything wrong and they been abusing you for their own stopidity.
also aggreeing whit them is funny, like if they call you and idiot, just tell them I never said wasnt an idiot, or yes I know and I love it, anything to trigger them more.
you can get kicked if the others are also moronic, but specialy in bgs you can get someone else to pitch in and you might have a long realy hilarious conversation.
just rember never offfend them, never call them any names or swear at them, becuse if you do that they can report you for it, just ask lame questions and talk about anything not related to wow or the thing you are doing at the moment.

What DH has now for whole class mage used to have for each frost, fire, arcane.
You have probably never played any moba if you dont see similarity between DH rotation and these games.

I play the game in same way . Never faced any problem even with low gear of mine .secondly bg is about team work not solo achievements .
The only thing that should bother you is winning the match .it is not arena where the whole team will be depending on you .
I’m OP taking a break from the game a bit not because I’m not geared or because I can’t get into the high end content or because the game doesn’t have enough of the fun content for me, but because a lot of the toxicity within the community. I played several other MMOS and never experienced as much toxicity, elitism, arrogance and down looking on the other players as in this game. I’m playing atm for the first time GTA 5 and having lots of fun, just to relax from all that crap here.
If toxicity is getting you down try ff14.very mature community as well as strict rules regarding harassment and toxic behavior makes it non existent in that game
i feel like ff14 is a game for people who’re into sims and dont want to play an actual MMO and prefer playing with pretty dolls and stuff and roleplay 24/7

you force people into behaving in a set manner, doesnt make them nice or good.
Well yes maybe it’s not good to force people to behave a certain way but it does not take much to have good manners or common courtesy towards each other on a game now does it. What gives you or I or anyone else for that matter to behave like a toxic troll towards complete strangers? None. Simple to treat others as you wish to be treated.
And at the end of the day we are being given permission to access this game we so do not own the physical or digital copies of it we bought or the serial codes and we are asked to behave to a certain standard if we do not we will be penalized and then banned from the game. It’s basic logic be nice and your not get in hot water or get into hot water and reform your attitude or continue then be banned.
I really do not know why that’s so hard to understand or conform to either.
