Hello,
I tried to fish in Darnassus and Dolanaar, but I couldnt. I bought a fishing pool and when I equip it and click on the icon, nothing happens.
Do I need to learn two-handed weapon or it is forbidden to fish in that zone?

You don’t click on the rod but on the ability “fishing” from your general tab.

strange, if it is not the wrong icon then must be a bug.

Very very common issue that I guess everyone has fallen for at some point or other.
In your spellbook, in the General tab is an ability called Fishing. It’s this you need to click on in order to fish. Drag it onto one of your action bars.
What many people do is drag the icon for their fishing rod onto an action bar, or just directly click the rod - this doesn’t work and just results in an error message.

You should probably have the spell fishing keybinded and also put your fishing pole and lure on actionbar as well for faster apply.
Iv’e tried uploading a screenshot with all the relevant details.

Remove the empty spaces on each side of the . and the : in the adress.
You can see me pointing to the icon in my spellbook.
I dragged it to the bar as ability 2.
The fishing pole and the lure is there as well (7 & 8) and my sword at = for quick equip if somebody attacks me while fishing.
If the fishing Icon, I’m pointing at in the spellbook is not there, you need a fishing trainer.

Thank you all for your responses. I made a dumb thing. I putted fishing pool icon and I was trying to click on it.
Now I change it and it works fine.
P.S, Fishing seems fun, especially is great with cooking. Fishing 75 skill, need to upgrade it and cooking is 85 at this moment.
