im a paladin im lv 40 and i dont know why when i use my 1hand sword+shield i take more damage from mobs compare to my 2hand mace that i use for like 10 lv but is time to replace it. someone can explain me this
It’s possible if your shield is terrible enough that the +defence from Guardian Blade (as an example) is better…
Is this physical damage or magic you’re taking more of?
Are you sure it’s not just because you take much longer to kill with a 1h and therefore accumulating much more damage taken during 1 fight?

This would be my first guess.
idk i try to kill some mobs… i do more damage with 1 hand but when finish my health is at 50% and if i use my 2h weapon with a bit less dps my health is at 80% when i kill the mob. idk i use verigans fist and vanquisher sword+arctic buckler
Ah yeah it’s just because it takes way longer with a 1h + shield, the fight is longer so you end up taking mroe damage even though you take less per hit.
i do more dps with 1hand so idk why the time is the same
You sure? Check how much damage you take per hit, see if it’s different.

i understand maybe why, i thought using a shield damage that the damage taken will decrease but looking on stat i take minor damage but from 2h im at -28% and with shield im at -35% so nothing changes have it or not have it 
can you link those exact 3 weapons? (1h, 2h, shield)
2h = more dps
more dps = faster kills, less damage taken
if the enemies do types of magic damage then the shield wont do anything at all.
frost, shadow, fire, holy, nature etc
