Why is alliance nicer than horde?

Alliance are friendly and chill. On horde everyone acts like an elitist who thinks they’re going to be a professional e-sport gamer. Is that a side effect of playing a gross monster, or do people with those traits tend to pick horde in the first place?

There would be plenty of people stating the exact opposite. It just depends on your personal experience in specific contexts.

I had a very good experience on the horde side: plenty of nice people overall.
It’s probably the same for alliance.

One thing is true though: there are more pvp oriented people on the horde side, it’s not that the faction is better overall (paladins are busted in group pvp), it’s just that the stronger horde racials make it easier to deal with 1v1 encounters:

For example, orc warriors will have a way easier time against rogues, and they’ll be able to fear them without seeing them wotf it. Also their intercept, charge, and nades won’t get resisted by orc rogues. You’re not going to have to face devouring plague, shadowguard, lightning shield, super bursty ele shamans who can one shot you if you don’t engage them fast enough, and so on…

Horde is also very fun to play: paladins have OP utility, but shamans are way more fun with their burst and windfury totem

why are pandaren nicer than horde and alliance?
pandaren are friendly and chill. on horde/alliance everyone acts like an elitist who thinks they’re so cool cus they picked a faction. is that a side effect of playing a boring a$$ non-panda race, or do people with those traits tend to pick horde or alliance in the first place?

Because people who play horde are looking for ways to show their true image that’s why we have alot of jawless undead players.

I think it’s because min-maxers tend to choose Horde. These are generally boring elitist people.

What a load of BS.
Seems like you encountered the baddies, which every side has plenty of.

Maybe horde is not always friendly. But alliance has gnomes. That’s a lot worse

Honestly I’ve experienced it on both sides.

On retail I mostly played horde, and raided pretty hardcore at one point. It was just unpleasant at times.
Here I’ve mostly played alliance and I’ve encountered some real turds here.

I just make sure to laugh, make a note not to group with them ever again and move on. I keep the people i want to play with again on my friendslist.
Make your bubble and stick in it, keep adding people you like to it and the amount of tryhard “what comp do you have, if you have a paladin dps i’m not tanking your group even though it’s lvl 30 and doesn’t matter” disappears.

It’s good to act like an ignorant scrub at times :innocent:

The latter

Both sides are pretty equal, but horde is a bit more toxic due to all mommy tryharders went for facepalmly op racials.

Hahaha. A simple Alliance mind trick. Lying is not going to work. We all know that Alliance are scum.

Light always defeats the darkness friend.

This.

Now I’m not even talking about myself (though I consider myself a pretty chill and helpful guy), but I don’t think I’ve ever met another pandaren player on either faction who was a jerk in game. Seen a couple on forums who trash talk, but even then its quite light compared to some of the “loooool you rtarded boomer/zoomer/insert trendy generational insult here, go die in a fire” I see on the factions.

It’s almost like playing giant, cuddly, fat, humanoid pandas almost requires you not to take yourself too seriously. I mean our racials aren’t exactly top of the pile, even if epicurean is hella good.

I found that to be pretty equal for both sides. There seems to be a correlation between the players race and the way they act. As alliance i found pretty much all Trolls and a lot of Tauren to be friendly. I learned to stay way from Undead, especially Undead Warlocks seem to be the gank masters. As Horde i found Dwarfs to be the nicest and got mostly ganked by Gnomes.

Warlocks seem to be special on both sides, no matter what.

Maybe it’s your server, on HW both sides are awesome.

I am playing warlock and I don’t really gank people - exceptions are those who are mining my nodes or undead rogues. Also yesterday night it was a tauren hunter who jumped at me at low hp so there are exceptions (I increasingly feel like people are friendlier when they are alone, and aggressive when in group).

On that note, no, factions aren’t really equal, for the hype and the better 1v1 racials most people went horde, it likely is more infested with tryhards and wannabe minmaxers - even if in reality classic isn’t how they imagine it, just check out pservers. Played both factions, found friendlier people on alliance, but can be toxic on both sides.

You really seem to have a chip on your shoulder regarding Horde racials lol.

Funny thing; back in the day it was usually the opposite.

Horde was dominated by old-time fans, who were usually drawn to the faction due to the sense of comraderie instilled by Thrall & co back in reign of chaos/frozen throne.
Alliance was dominated by children, drawn to the faction by generic humans and legolasses.
Ah, how times have changed… : )

In all seriousness though, attitude seems dictated more by race more by faction, and if you want a truly good community, you should roll on a PvE server(or possibly RP, haven’t tried those yet).
