Why is Blizzard still doubling down on their bad game design

https://i.imgur.com/7UB9FDW.png

It feels really good that actual legit complaints get branded and put into the same camp as toxic people who for sure are a minority. But it feels even worse when the devs feel justified in their reasoning to double down on making this game more awful.

How are these people hired when they behave so unprofessional in your company’s name. It’s not a private account when they have their Blizzard occupation right next to their Twitter’s name btw.

To the devs that actually do work on the game instead of crying on Twitter and making your hugbox there, I salute you. You guys are the MVP

Twitter is such a disease. But you reap what you sow, this is what countless amount of hiring through Twitter circlecliques gets you at. Enjoy the harvest Blizzard.

This is soapbox realityshow tier.

13€ a month to see a person complain about others complaining and qutting over the state of the game.

I love how they keep criticizing the toxic people and show literally zero acknowledgement of the complaints.

For the designers: the reason why people are toxic towards you is precisely because you keep acting like a wall. 95% of feedback about stuff is being completely ignored.

“Fire all systems designers” is a legit complaint?

This is just a negative feedback loop if I’m honest. Firing toxic dev’s wouldn’t be bad but banning the incessant whiners here would also be a win.

I’m happy to criticise Blizz, I’m not happy to see angsty kids like you that are up past your bedtime bash them 3 times a day with variations on the same meme of the day.

cos there is a small echo chamber within the dev team that make decisions and legit cannot fathom why people are disliking systems.

I know 3 year olds that could come up with better burns than that. Jeez dude, I’m a little embarrassed for you.

Nobody should be fired over minor felonies, but Bobby should send them to coal mines for a couple of months ,so they can learn what tough job is.

  1. Because people pay.
  2. Because devs are convinced that their ideas are good.

By focusing on a few who are crying for people/teams to be fired they’re really missing the point from the players and need to start looking at this from a different angle.

I think Jeff and Matt fail to see the cries from players who hate the systems on top of systems on top of other systems mixed with another system that him and his colleagues think is fun to the players because they make WoW an unenjoyable experience. Unfortunately the players endure and play through these systems so they can perform the best that they can in the content that they choose, as they play through these systems they grow even further with their ill thoughts about the game and its developers.

Instead of looking at this and seeing how unhappy players are they have decided to instead be antagonistic on Twitter then run away by limiting the replies they can receive or blocking the customers of WoW. Not only does this incentivise players to leave (especially out of spite) this is basically free advertisement for other MMORPGS where the dev teams aren’t antagonising the players on Twitter.

People may joke about Bobby Kotick needing more money for yachts etc but this is the time he really needs to sit these morons down and start getting them to adjust their mindsets because they’re alienating the people who are the reason that they still have jobs.

I don’t know if it’s a legit complaint… Probably depends on what you consider legit to begin with.

But it’s definitively a heartfelt cry from someone who is passionate about the game and doesn’t like “systems” at all.

It surely doesn’t explain why systems are bad, but given how often that complain comes up, I find it a bit hard to believe that devs don’t know the reasons why players don’t like these systems already. And if they don’t know, well… Are they really doing their job ? Ok, that sounds harsh. Tbh, at first I thought about writing “maybe they deserve to be fired”, but I found this a bit… well… I’m pretty sure some people here would have labeled me or my comment as toxic, so I decided to ask “Are they really doing their job ?”. But if you think even this question is too hard, try this one : “you sure we cannot get devs who would care a little bit more, just enough at least, to be informed about the feedback their customers give them about their product ?”

Really professional, cherry picking a few harshly written comments to doubling down on the bad ideas just out of spite.

I have no clue.

I’ve grown tired of the covenants, I’ve grown tired of Torghast, especially after they added the new torments, like wtf is that? More RNG? One day it’s faceroll and another it’s a slog, like, stop.

Grown tired of m+ too, the rewards are useless. You get one piece a week that actually matters.

Legendaries should have been a currency drop, not crafted.

They need to stop changing classes so much between expansions. Give me back BFA holy/prot paladin without holy power.

yupp alot people agree with u… would be fun to see how many people actually quit the game by now  i think its pretty shocking numbers

the most weird part in all of this… blizzard have no intentions to even discuss this

“Fire X” is not a legit complaint. This is exactly the definition of negative complaint.
