Why is Havoc DH getting zero complexity in Shadowlands?

I think most demon hunters would prefer some more complexity to the class and I believe the author would like for this to be the case.

Only 4 classes were available to play, DH being the only melee one.

All of these talks about how “5 Buttons are harder than 3”, it’s 15 year old MMO none of classes are hard, because it’s all about decision making and not your experience on PTR’s target dummy.

I feel like OP is talking about loosing it’s options while some classes are getting new things. Currently you play 4-5 button DH because it’s fast and fun, if some loladin wants, he can play Fel blade Immo aura Fel barrage Dark slash Momentum, there you have 9-10 buttons in the 30s window and so does in shadowlands, so argument about cutting complexity is invalid.

My issue is the pacing, DH is suppouse to be fast and furious, we are loosing furious gaze (+200% haste for 12s), 1 charge of felrush, class pacing will be so slow in Shadowlands + we got cd nerfs etc but that i can understand.

No, they are getting abilities back, from a time before DHs existed. You can’t un-prune a class that never had anything removed from it.

From what I’ve been able to dig up it seems more common for devs to play Horde.

Though that’s based on the statement of a few devs who happened to play Horde. No document I’ve ever seen that listed devs names and what faction they play.

He can, but he definitely won’t be invited to anything, cos his talents are bad. No one uses Momentum, Fel Barrage is only taken to certain entry mobs on m+ then the DH runs out and changes talent. Fel Blade talent is only taken if you are undergeared and Immo auro is a replacement of Demon’s Bite so it is actually not extra ability, as you use one when you talent Immo.

Currently with the most optimal build the rotation is just chaos strike, blade dance, while you have short cds like immo aura and eye beam.

The interesting thing about this subject is that Blizzard have realised there is indeed a portion of the playerbase pie that actually don’t really want to have a ‘challenging’ rotation for lack of a better word, and would rather just have it simple. And it’s a pretty big slice of that pie too.

Sometimes I enjoy logging on my DH to play mythics. It’s fast flowing, really easy to do and it lets you just focus on other things like doing mechanics.

Not all classes and specs can be ‘challenging’, nor should they be. They’ve gotta cater to everyone afterall

They’re mostly bringing back complexity that was removed in mists of pandaria.

They’re not exactly creating complexity.

Demon hunters didn’t have any complexity to begin with.
