Why is it important to Blizzard to gatekeep 1800 rating from mediocre players?

Literaly no mather what blizz do people will cry here thats mentality of a loosers.
You will see time will come when feral, enha shaman, frost dk get buff people will instanly cry for nerf here.
Iw never blamed class balance or my healer i blame only myself if i loose.

I am trying to understand. The the reality is that with SS all rewards are given for free. Things that already had low value became zero value. Not a Flame just facts.

I think you missunderstood the retail wow meta. If you are average/below average player struggling you do not spam games in order to improve. You hop onto a dh or anything with a recent rework and claim your 1800 like a champ.

Rogue is a good option too but you need to know very basics of the game so dh always a safe bet.

It sounds cringe (it is) but that’s what people do. It’s basicly the settle stone of shuffle bracket. Clueless people running around on classes they don’t know playing 500cr above their skill level.

Just follow the rules and you get free moggies.

getting 1.8k in 3v3 is easier than in SS IMO

Only if you have people to spam games with (DPS) / Play a healer.

This was true in Season 1 and DF prepatch.

Starting at 1.8k, most people in RSS have a decent grasp on mechanics, cd trading and even positioning. Ofcourse, far from perfect and there is the issue of not playing proactive, instead of only reactive.

This is EU btw, in US they generally agree EU is more sweaty across all brackets and play at 200ish rating more than an average US player.

And as one person said, It takes less effort to reach 1.8k atm in 3s than RSS tbh.

That would be even faster but when I tried on my warr with LFG the climb was faster than SS honestly. Helps that warr fits many comps and gets invited often but I found it smoother than SS

I’m talking about the Battle Mender title in the first post and people suggest rerolling dps or playing a differnt bracket, jesus F christ I might suck at PvP but at least I can read 20 lines of text before I spew out half-truths and misinformations.

Some mod or mvp just flag this dumpster fire of a thread for closure please, should’ve never posted on this cesspoll forum in the first place

Literally and first paragaraph is about achieving 1.8k and you mentioned a random healer title reward thats it.
Maybe re-read what you write next time but seeing how you rage like this I can only assume why you struggle to get to 1.8k

Hmm, not sure about that one. If you look at games played, a lot of players with the most games played are struggling between 1.7k-1.8k

In the first post I said I’ve already gotten over 1800 one time this season and then I mention the title that requires 50 round wins at or above 1800 as a healer and how it feels much harder to stay at that rating compared to older seasons. IF this topic was about me hitting 1800 ONLY once, why would I even post here? when I already accomplished that? Clearly about battle mender title, 50 wins above or at 1800 as HEALER only in solo-shuffle. Granted, my English isnt very good, but thats about logic, not language.

Yes, your post were mostly for your sake of healer title, but your last comment were also based on tier set recolor. So even if you feel your post is 99% about title… Its not rly thanks to the line at the bottom for example. Considering the 1800 elite set isnt rly gatekept since you have ways around it.

yea then let me win 50 games at 1600+ for a title or something minor and then leave the elite set at 1800 unchanged why not, it was just some wild suggestion for the perceived “difficulty change” thats why I put it into the same sentence, so what

Your post title is literally “… gatekeep 1800 rating from mediocre players?” and then you rage about people talking about the rating and not your healer title in SS… lol

Your logic is very selfcentered.

So if you simply can’t Blizzard should just give those people the rewards others are able to progress towards?

They can… Milestones are there pretty much every 200 CR from 1k…

Well you say this… But before you said:

So… You acknowledge that you have a hard time learning stuff, but go on to say that you shouldn’t be struggling with the title because “you know what is out of your reach” ?

Maybe… and just maybe… the title is just outside of your reach?

I got 2.2k in 2s this season, I’m not capable of playing at that lvl in 3s because I simply haven’t touched it… But why do Blizzard gatekeep Gladiator from me? Why not let me have this milestone?
I can acknowledge that I will never get R1, so they could just cater less to tryhards and give us semi-try hard players the glad mount, buff our MMR and CR, make all our brackets count towards the mount…

The game changes… If you really feel anxiety and bad mood because you want a title in a game, maybe you have bigger things to reflect on rather whether the MMR-inflation is a real thing or not

Absolutely not. Not even 2300 people do.

Like, I seriously had some guy ask me earlier “What do you mean peel?” when I told him he needs to peel. Bro didn’t use a single CC, not a single slow. Nothing.

He also tried going me when he ended up on the enemy team, meaning they had no pressure on the guy that actually could die. So they lost. He went 0-6.

I don’t really get how the system can allow someone like that to even get to that rating, lol.

Did you read that I got the title eventually?

Were you able to comprehend the points of my comment? I can put them out for ya again if not

The minority of pvp player is above 1,8, not the majority. We have a selection biased in the forum, because more invested player will be active around here.

In reality hitting 1,8 is something that will take the average player a huge time investment by either playing alot or reading/ watching guides for hours. There is no reward for playing though, so your investment is a gamble in the end, which wont motivate new people to start with pvp sadly.

League of Legends has a better concept for the prestige rewards, after facing the same issue.

High rating = only a few games needed for the reward

Low rating = play a ton of games for the reward skin

WoW lacks a progression for people who cant move up in rating atm, which is a majority of player. And I dont mean only the people who cant get past 1,6. Duellist / Rivals face the same issue of lacking rewards that arent bound to rating break points.

You actually do have it… We have the vicious saddles… You have a ton of transmogs and mounts purchasable for mark of honor…

So:
A) If you have all of the above already, you aren’t “new” to PVP as that would’ve meant you’ve played rated content for quiet a while (vicious saddles)

B) If you don’t have them, but still claim there is no reward, you simply want the rewards for higher rank for the “prestige” it brings… i.e. not thinking honor mount is a reward because glad players get another…

“You” in this term is general and not specifically about you.

Why people are kept from entering pvp in the first place, I think have little to no correlation with lack of rewards.

I get what you’re saying, everyone has some goal out of his reach and what/how high that is, is always relative to the players skill, time investment etc. Of course there is a big chance that its me lacking skill-wise, but you hear it in every youtube video, stream or from other friends that pvp, rating is harder to get compared to older seasons/xpacs, there is no argueing against that.

I’ll tell you people something funny: I got to 1800&battle mender by healing with mouse-over macros on a GladiusEx frame, like people do in mythic+/raids. try that out

That isnt really bound to the rated system though. A good idea would be to add old elite sets and weapons for example for X wins on Y rating. So people have a reason to keep playing even if they cant break the next reward bracket

And before anyone now crys ´´ WAAAAHHH MY PRESTIGE´´

We all have hundreds of elite sets dont we? What to we wear usually ? Censored word mogs and trading post clown outfits. Let the casuals have something to que for.
