But again, the game evolves, people get better, more and more addons / macros are introduced…
I’ve also heard multiple streamers say how they don’t care for Glad anymore since its not a % anymore but a “win 50 games above 2.4”.
The seasonal mount has already been changed to what… above 1000 CR now?
If you are incapable of adapting or learning, then maybe its time to acknowledge that as a player, and enjoy what you are capable of.
The continuous lowering the rewards makes no sense. Why even have them then? Then just switch to a “You need 1k rated games to get elite set” and let everyone enjoy it… Make the title a “Play 500 games as healer”… Moving it down to 1.6 will just leave people stuck at 1.5 wanting it to be further moved down… And if you move it down too much, people above will feel its not worth caring for anymore, you see the issue?
Good job !
In 2v2 you would have gotten it much easier
I had 2100 on my disc (currently 1800 because i help a friend get the 1800 transmog) in 2v2 and 1200 in shuffle
You have to be trolling right there is no way you just made that statement. Maximum copium level.
18hundo shuff is nowhere close to 18hundo 3s. It may appear like that cause the 18hundo shuff is such a low level environment that it is so easy to just blend in and get hardstuck maybe. But if you know what you are doing a little bit you get out with ease.
M8, I got 1.8k in RSS in first week. Since then, it was bouncing between 2.1.k and 1.9k.
There is no escaping bad teammates if you are a spec which relies quite heavily on them (unlike DHs or rets who don’t give a damn because of their high damage and tankiness).
In 3s, i joined an old friend who was on warrior with a couple of greens and his friend, who wasn’t even a rdudu, but mw (so we played a bit scuffed version of Thunder) and getting to 1.8k felt easy.
Also, I didn’t want to imply people on 1.8k are good. I meant that most do possess BASIC understanding of their damage, not losing healer and at least TRYING to cd trade and such.
Some specs have a far harder time climbing RSS and this isn’t me claiming I am nothing but average, but there is no escaping ridiculous stuff people are doing in RSS (for example, I had a resto shaman who didn’t know he can Spirit Walk out of root beam and heaven forbid, hunters who keep scattering and trapping my Flame SHock off pretty much on CD, still playin SL setup and not realizing what our win condition is).
I could name hundreds of things here, but it also remains a fact that RSS is deflated and I am pretty sure a lot of players who are 2.7 k RSS got near that early on.
In season 1, I got 2.8k on my MM (I know, it was super inflated and that is not my real rating) but the games from 2.4 felt infinitely easier then below that.
I am taking responsibility in admitting many of my games would probably go different if I played more agressive instead of passive. It is just not that, there are many instances to reflect upon. Should I have hexed at other time, I missed an interrupt or grounding etc…
However, there are also many games where things are out of your control.
Just had a game with frost m, arcane m, disc, fistweaver and blood dk (lol). Frost mage, who had some “input” every round, died in last round against a blood dk and arcane mage 30 seconds into the game.
Had a lobby with hpriest spam healing the enemy MM who stood in the middle of the map trying cast Sniper Shot, but when he was playing with me, he decided to spam damage into a warrior who was training me together with a ret.
Just out of a lobby, shadow priest died against dh after being peeled for 30 seconds, with no dispersion.
I dont claim to be pro nor do i care about being roasted about number of games. They are much, but they are my only way to play recently since I am babysitting my kid in between ques.
But I simply couldnt believe my eyes about these situations. I am not making this up. It legit felt like being trolled.
The whole point is that, while taking personal responsibility is a first step, there is simply no way to outplay flatout throws.
Again. This is true for everyone. Sometimes you get trolled, sometimes your enemy gets trolled. If you play enough games (which you have) it doesnt matter.
Sometimes not, yes. But you dont need to outplay flatout throws to climb. You just need to consistency play better than people at your ratings.
Its really no rocket science and i guarantee you that a better ele player would climb out of your rating in a few lobbies.
At these 1900cr lobbies you need to play pro active and dictate the pace of the game and to be honest you can reach 2100 on ele by just doing maximal dps every single round.
I already reached 2.1k and tanked due to 1 dc and 2 bad lobbies. In the meantime, I have been just ping ponging forth and back. It doesn’t matter anyway, I don’t have any impressive rating to flaunt, nor did I ever call out anyone or judged him based on his rating alone.
P.S. another lobby, bm hunter (who is 2.4k in 2s) died to a full crusade stack ret paladin with all def cds off cd…this is what I am talking when saying it feels like getting trolled.
You could say I am venting a bit tho, but it is disheartening that I was winning more when every lobby was infested with havoc, arms and and uhdk, which are proly the worst thing for ele.
I really don’t think these things are happening on higher ratings. Missplays yes, no one is perfect, but on a regular basis?
Same as above. I find it hard believe these things occur often in a high rated lobby.
Of course you are right. But the same thing happened in season 1 with my hunter. Clawing my way back from 1.8k.-2.4. (yes, the swings were WILD) was infinitely more hard and cumbersome then 2.4 - 2.7k. I did only start playing ele seriously in pvp in season 2 DF, in a week ret got reworked (lol) and even made a thread asking for tips, to which you kindly responded.
But this:
Dunno, just doesn’t seem to be the case in my experience. Most of my losses are with me being top dps, or near top (unless there is a heavy dispel game going against me) and without me actually being a target. This is what I am trying to improve on, dictating the game as you said, which was far easier for me when getting focused and trained as opposed to freecasting. I know that is weird, but it is what it is.
of course these missplays are happening less at higher ratings. Thats why these people are at higher ratings because they are missplaying less themselves. But stuff like this happens at all ratings. It just does not matter. One bad round where your mate didnt press a CD is not releveant in the big context. Maybe two rounds later the enemy didnt press a single cooldown and won? Its nothing you can influence and it wont stop you from climbing rating.
I mean you just explained why some people are at higher ratings and some not. If at your ratings people do alot of mistakes its easy for you to capatalize on them and win the games (if you are not equally trolling)
Could have many reasons. Maybe it wasnt the right meta before, maybe you made a few things just way better and it clicked. Maybe you were super inconsistent before.
In general higher experienced players never struggle way below their “normal” ratings and mostly rush out of these brackets pretty fast.
i agree thats not as easy on ele because your “freecasting” dmg isnt more scary as “getting trained” dmg. Your CC is kinda limited against alot of specs too so sometimes your carry potential feels limited.
In my experience applying pressure with top dmg, kicking, lasso, totem, knock etc. on CD should make any lower rated healer to panic and missplay pretty quickly. At higher ratings it gets more difficult when every healer is able to max pve hps.
But im no ele main even though id say im pretty decent there are quite a few people who can give better advice.
