So I’m leveling a new toon and I queue for freehold I see people doing a skip run going straight to the final boss. So I ask if we can do the other bosses and they kick me out.
Now I get it xp grinding so on so forth, but how is this gonna feel to a new player leveling for the first time, they queue for their first dungeon and…what they don’t get to do it in full?
I don’t think this is a good thing so maybe make it so if you get matched with a first timer you can not skip or something. But that’s just an thought, I have no idea how to fix this really since ending freehold skip runs would ruin leveling for a lot of people.

People do it because it speeds up the leveling process, I agree it is new player unfriendly tho

You can thank m+ designs for that. The path to skip was put in there on purpose so people can do their timed runs.

You can’t skip bosses in m+ and i’m talking about leveling in bfa and arguing with new players you should have to do it in full

In M+ you still had to clear all bosses. So no this doesnt work and its not “thanks to M+”. The shortcut that is being taken in leveling freeholds is not the same you took during M+.

I didn’t mention the bosses, did I? But the paths to skip mobs was put in there on purpose. As for the bosses, they were placed to the sides with gaps in pull ranges to skip those too if you so wished to, but of course that isn’t due to m+.
The fact that it needs to be spelled out to you is quite baffling.
In case you didn’t know, there’s more than one path to skip. By design.
what? you need to kill the mobs you skip for m+ plus you would skip 2 bosses taking that route I don’t think it was used for m+ just leveling
Ok, guess you need the same line of text:
Ok?
If you’re wondering why that part is intentional, well, giving options to players gives room for expression of choice. Basically, they gave players options in how to skip so they (i.e. the players) can tweak their paths on their own. Get it? But each pack that can be skipped was designed like that on purpose.
It’s comparable to lab rats running through mazes, designed by humans.
But the OP did. Your complain is irrelevant for the OPs point. He wants to kill the bosses and gets kicked for wanting them. The route to the bosses is meaningless and the route used in M+ still had all bosses included. So using the M+ route would in fact work into the OPs favour.
The fact youre incapable of reading is of more concern. Your rant about M+ was pointless.
Also M+ design gives you more flexibility in terms of what you want to pull rather than having to pull the entire dungeon in a fixed design.
Read above. Or rather learn to read before responding to me.

This is off topic now but yeah you have a point but I don’t think that m+ necessary just dungeon design
It would just be great if they did decide to make all bosses mandatory for the bonus XP. It would add much value for new players and frankly I would enjoy it more also.
Conclusion: less adds and mandatory bosses = win/win (subjective opinion)!

yeah its a really bad design choice to make the most efficient expansion leveling dungeons the one new players have to go through.
this way new and old players just clash too hard in level of experience. like Ozgool said, they should make bosses mandatory for the finishing exp.

This is true. I was kicked couple times for asking to experience the whole dungeon as new player. It was either kick or “shut up” or “kill yourself”.

Just the times we are in.

What are you on about mate?? I 'm asking for more people to experience content??
Dungeon experience is bad because its designed badly. They should design every dungeon like Shadowfang Keep or Stormstout Brewery where you really cant skip anything. It makes zero sense to skip anything. All people now do is rush last boss and leave. Make it worth more to clear everything. One level per cleared dungeon and we are gg.

I don’t really like how little variety there is when you queue for a random dungeon. You only get SL dungeons once you get into the 50s
