Personally i like m+ because you can do it whenever you feel like playing without the strict timetable of a guild mythic raid.
However m+ has a disadvantage vs raid. At raid you have 20 people (or even more at heroic) which means any below average players are getting carried by their guild even if they are green parsers or fail mechanics (im talking about the people that die almost every single time and you have to use that combat res and if tank dies you don’t have a 2nd one).
However in a m+ that player has to actually carry their weight. If you have the same player die every single time in a 21-22 tyrranical you won’t meet dps checks etc.
I think content like Dawn of the infinites now is way better than M+. Just a challenging dungeon with no timer to do and to get relevant gear. It’s the 5 man equivalent of a raid. I really like it way more than M+
Its a mega dungeon, like Tazavesh or Mechagon before it, i guess its sort of more difficult than M0 especially if you do it on the hardmode for the mount,
Its always going to be popular, its easy and it gives decent loot. But it will be more fun when you can run it for keys in season 3.
For me M+ is a big plus to play the game, maybe the only thing keeping me playing. And I pug a lot. I have worse working times nowadays and can’t raid with my guild but even if I could I probably still would find it too time consuming. I don’t really see the problem with the design, I mean you don’t NEED to do 20s to have fun in M+, if you can do 15s do 15s. Just accept that you are not the best player in the world and everything falls into place. In S1 I began with just wanting 2400 for the gear upgrades. Then when I accomplished that and I saw that I could go higher, I tried. But just because other people in my guild do 23-24s all the time I don’t feel pressured into it. It’s up to you to have goals, my goal is usually just to do as high as I can and not compare it to others. This works for me as fun. I was like 2780 in S1 and now I don’t even have a 20 in 4 dungeons yet while others did 20s first week with the same gear I had. But who cares? Just play in your own pace and have fun.
I like how the removal of the timer completely kills any form of toxicity in pugs, and everyone is very relaxed and just enjoys the dungeon. It’s more enjoyable than M+. Why does wow need to be a treadmill, where you feel like you have to do it for an entire season? M+ is a toxic treadmill. Not more, not less. Least enjoyable game mode in wow for me, and I do it only for gear. If 5-man-raids existed from day one, which give 447 ilvl on the hardest difficulty, way less people would bother with M+.
Would rather have 2 raids per patch and 4 mega dungeons than M+ lol. Imagine BRD or Maraudon from cataclysm leveling reworked as a mega dungeon. Casuals don’t realise it yet, because it says “mythic”, but dawn of the infinites is the best casual instanced content I’ve seen so far
It doesn’t. You just had a normal group. In M+ there are also almost no toxic groups. And first weeks are in a lot of groups and most content very relaxed anyway.
Nah. People would complain that evil Blizzard is gatekeeping them because they are forcing them to find a mailbox and actually equip the gear.
People who have done it and found the mailbox are the worst toxec elitists as well.
How do you know this? You asked everyone? You forgot me. As many of us here explained, we actually like M+ for various reasons. Again, nobody is forcing you to do M+, or to do it in 20+ or anything. It’s your choice, if you decide to go high, you have to face that there are “competitive” entitled players who will try to ruin your day, because they think they deserve MDI quality groups all the time or something. Some people are just like that, you can’t do anything about that no matter the design.
Also, if the new megadungeon is so much better, well guess what, all the instances are still there in M0 just like the megadungeon, only difference is they have 4 bosses instead of 8… but I wonder how long they would last as content without M+…
It officially takes me more time to make groups or try to join one that the time i spend actually playing. Then you have the problem of deplete…
I am honestly losing interest in wow pretty fast if this is gonna continue.
The start was nice with all the talents and cool stuff, but now, i spend more time dealing with cretins that leave after a single problem, taking more time to make the groups than actually playing… It’s just not enjoyable. It has been like this for some time, but after the patch dropped it’s even worse.
Also they are making some really bad mistakes with class design to boot, demo lock, outlaw rogue, so bad.
And it is blizzard’s fault that they are making these problems worse.
If the difficulty is tuned correctly, it would last as much as raiding, which is quite a while. It’s just not spammable content to do all week. If it releases the first week, it should be a tad more challenging, but I love the idea of raiding with small groups
/sigh… and as it was said already… you can also do M+ with small groups… and then the toxicity is nonexistant… or you can pug those small groups, and we are just at the same point as we are now… pugging raiding is even more of a chore than pugging m+… I don’t raid because of that… compared to raiding pugging m+ is lightspeed.
i honestly don’t even know what to say about that, it’s just as wrong as wrong can be. And it should be easy to see if you try to make raid vs dungeon groups.
Pugging raids is not as much of a chore as m+, you have way more annoyances with m+.
Lol are you for real? So raids are easier to get togehter than a m+ group… And half the people don’t leave when you wipe on a boss, and people don’t leave after every boss and it doesn’t take another half hour to get together the group again on every boss… Okay, whatever you say…
