Why is mythic + gearing so gimped compared to raiding?

why honestly?

as i see it its the most popular gamemode in the game, why is raiding so prefered as content from the games design?

mythic + should have more than 1 mythic item available per week honestly.

Raiding is the worst gearing. You can keep running m plus until you get the item you are after.

and loot horrible hero track loots yes.

You aren’t going to get mythic rewards from M+ no.

so ergo raiding is VASTLY superior in every single aspect imagineable.

thus the thread

Not really. Loot is hard to get in raids. People act as if mythic raiders are showered in gear.

they are not but atleast they have the option too get full mythic loot in 1 raid.

as m+ player im litearlly locked to 1 per week. its 15 weeks for full mythic IF im not unlucky.

The option yes, the reality though… most mythic raiders atm get 0 items from the raid and 1 from the vault.

And I would argue, that M+ groups are VASTLY superior than pug raids in terms of succes rate. And no, now I’m not saying “within the timer”… I am saying finding people that are able to get to the end.

So isn’t it quiet obvious? Delves are only giving Hero gear in the vault, why?

Am I saying that M+ players are less skilled and or raiding takes more skill? No, bur organizing it, and having the numbers to actually complete and on top of that, the chance of you getting loot, is probably higher in M+ than raiding

^^ This. Unless you’re in a team where you are hard funnelled loot (and that’s if it actually drops) the bulk of players don’t get much.

Friends who mythic raid are more or less same ilvl as I am.

then give 10+ keys a very minor chance to drop a mythic item ?

so if you run lets say 25-40 keys you could perhabs on average loot 1 item.

That’s putting us back in titanforging hell. No thanks.

there is a reason mythic raid groups are 631+ilvl now and none raiders are stuck 625 max.

Its a slippery slope cause as soon as you put mythic items into the m+, ppl will farm the crap out of it to be fully mythic geared. Also for mythic raiders, its not like every mythic raidteam out there clears the raid and have bosses on farm from week one. So they are not getting showered in mythic gear.

Ah yes, extend the grind of gear progress! Having my BiS trinket drop only to know that it can also have a very small drop chance at Mythic track, but the odds being so low that I will just have the feeling of imcompletion whatever drops.

Did you play Legion? If you did, you know how horrible this idea is

could also be an upgradeable item you could have max 1 off per week/every second week similar to spark

Are you just explaining the weekly vault, without calling it the weekly vault?

And just to add here:

Again, from Legion… Having legendary items capped on a weekly basis and getting your non-bis legendary felt SO bad… Imagine getting a cloak that you already have, and knowing your week is essentially over, no more upgradeable Mythic track gear… No thanks

You’re not showered but still if you raid mythic with a semi-decent guild you get on average twice the amount of myth track gear compared to m+ only players, and that amount goes up with time as you kill more bosses.
When I raided with my guild I was basically full mythic gear like the rest of the guild halfway through the season. Since DF I only play m+ and I have never been fully mythic geared any season not even after the full 6 months.

Blizzard really should decide if they want m+ to be a real pillar of endgame, or if they want it to be just a stepping stone for raiding and nothing else.

Unless you are in a high end guild killing lots of bosses and reclearing those every week, there isn’t much difference. Because the loot gain from raiding is so poor.

or just make complete different gear for m+ and raid, with bonusses to the various playstyles.

that would perhabs be the best in my opinion. raid and m+ are so different.
