It’s supposed to be a replacement for proper customer support, and they’re using it as an excuse to decline all other item restoration requests. If that is the case, perhaps it should work properly?
I was farming linen for war effort and messed up my junk deleting addon, deleting a fat stack of commendation signets. And all I see on restoration page is a billion level 10 white and green items. The stack of signets is not something I’d complain and submit a ticket about, it just seems petty. But I know if I made a ticket about that 10 years ago, I’d have a GM contact me and restore my items no matter how useless they were. How far have they fallen?
Next they’ll tell you to report it as a bug. While doing nothing about it. After that you’d just have to cross your fingers and hope they ever get to that “bug”, unless they just choose to ignore it altogether.
Meanwhile, they offer no feedback nor reassurances for individual cases whenever you encounter a bug, unless you encounter a big one and whine about it on the US forum and garner a lot of attention (EU is pretty much on the same level as all the other non-US regions and languages).
It’s simply not part of their operations manual to deal with such things anymore. Because customer satisfaction isn’t a thing to them if it goes beyond their automated services and PR stunts.
Actually I just realized stackable items aren’t listed there. Makes sense, I suppose. But I’ve ran into this issue before though (managed to delete a few stacks of blackmouths along with all the junk fish), and even though the system says contact support in such cases, they told me they can’t find the records.
Basically, if your item isnt on the list you are SOL…
I accidentally sold Eye of the Beast and didnt realise it untill the day after. It isnt on my restoration page so i opened a ticket and all i got back was a big fat “If its not on the list, its not intended. Soooo, so sad, to bad, buhu”. Thats a quest item i can never get again, so thx for great service activision blizzard…
So you better hope its on that list or else, you have zero chance of getting the item back.
