I join a LFG for dailies or whatever, doesn’t that defeat the point?
It comes up I’m online via the Quick Join pop up

Well that’s weird. Hopefully it will get changed.
Why do you add people who you can’t tell you just don’t want to do something?
Not only that but your battle.net friends can still see you online if they check the friend list ingame. Only in the battle.net launcher you’re appearing offline.
Not everyone uses the feature for what you think they do
I haven’t experienced that yet, hopefully not D:
Sometimes I just don’t wanna bother with DMs, general conversations, any kind of communication or people in general.
i feel like this always
This is one of my few reasonings
So… Just tell people that you don’t feel like talking? Could even put it on a macro saying “I am not in the best of moods for conversation, please let me play in peace”. Seems better than trying to hide with the Offline function and then getting annoyed when people see you are online.
I’d probably find it a whole lot ruder for someone trying to hide and respond with silence or passive-aggression when I get in touch with them despite appearing offline.
You’re just full of assumptions, my guy. If you don’t understand why we use this feature, then don’t comment. I’m not looking for opinions, I’m asking for a fix.
Did I make any assumptions? If I did, then it’s your fault for not giving any proper details as to why you appear as offline.
Oh, I understand why people would use the feature. Doesn’t mean I don’t find stupid for people to try and use it, then complain about people finding them in other ways when they could always just macroreply with “I don’t feel like playing or socializing, please let me play alone”.
Tough biscuits.
I don’t think you deserve one if that’s gonna be your attitude.
Ok, flagged and moved on! Have a nice day.
Okay. I will flag you too then, seeing as we’re flagging each other for no good reason.
It does what it says, you appear offline to the people in your realid friends
Yeah the Battle.net is really badly designed concerning the friends list. I blocked a guy once and he could still talk to me on the Battle.net chat. Luckily he stopped quickly but what’s the point ?
Sorry, who’re you again?
Probably in one of those threads in regards to black Blood Elves. Pretty sure I had a good reason to call you that.
Well, that’s a you problem. Some people think my posts make me come off as a donkey, other people think I make valid points despite it sounding harsh.
But please, do forgive me for not telling people what I think of them in the most inoffensive milquetoast fashion. I have too much of a personality to do that.
I’d be spamming that macro sometimes then, ofc it’s an option but I’d rather have the system work properly.
This has always been an issue with appearing offline. You can also be seen on the guild roster. I believe people can also just /who you as well, but I’m not 100% on that last one.
There is no full on proper incognito mode. I just mark myself is DND/Busy and people tend to leave me alone if I want some alone time.
Just have some bones and delete those who bothers you much.
This. Beeing a pushover isn’t something to be aspired to. Op, if something bothers you, say it!
