Blizz are try Harding at refail because they still believe people prefer that for some reason. Which is why we still have bugs they should of sorted out over a decade ago. But they never fix old content they’d sooner remove it for “modern audience’s”
Update by Ironforge:
The raider/pvp population has dropped from 114.914 to 106.775 or -7%. Below 100k next week I wonder?
Firemaw is now the biggest server with 8.740 logged alts compared to Gehennas with 8.426.
Update by Ironforge:
The raider/pvp population has dropped from 106.775 to 101.291.
You where close
Am I reading this right? This is one account with 8 alts?
Jeepers
No. It’s eight thousand seven hundred and forty alts on Firemaw.
they removed their gamemasters from the game and they do not play their own games any more @your question. this is why
Update by Ironforge:
The raider/pvp population has increased slightly! From 101.291 to 102.058.
I think we won’t see any other population decrease since Fireland is being released in a couple of weeks. The question is how high the population will now peak/recover during Firelands.
Tbh, considering Cata is a version of WoW that seemingly gets close to zero development time, updates, bug fixes or even care, I think the current numbers are beyond expectation for week 22 of the same content.
Ironforge update for the raid/pvp population.
The population crashed well below 100.000 probably because the pvp season ended. We got a good picture of how many people pvp which is around 17% of the population.
Specifically, the population dropped from 102.057 players down to 85.034. That’s 17.023 fewer players or -16.6%.
Hows the bots situation on Cata?
Out of those 85,034 players how many would you say where bots?
Most likely 0 since I doubt botters are logging their in game activities.
Bots do not log so like Babastiltz said, they are likely not included in the population numbers mentioned by me.
Imagine to rely on rusian site that fakes population numbers to boost its rmt.
Why they are even allowed here
Firelands is an extremely overhyped raid that most people will get tired off after a normal clear just for the content and then uninstall. Only a small group of parsingnumber sweats and “elitists” will still be playing cataclysm in a month from now. I already did a run on the PTR, killed rag and was like … ok? And i fear im not alone in that. Theres regret among many of us for not quitting after wrath, cata has been nothing but a disappointment!
This is what happens to a game when you are catering to the gatekeeping 1% of players instead of the broad casual playerbase! Tools like LFR should have been out months ago for example. Theres a reason you added it in DS in old days, yet you let us go thru the same suffering and gatekeeping again just because dev team is lazy. You killed the whole game just like you killed it in 2011! But dont worry blizz, the sweats and the bots will pay subsciptions! And im sure you gonnna keep selling a few wow tokens for gold still too since you have endorsed the GDKP meta as main way to play and progress!
Good riddance. Cata is dead!
The administrators of wow logs themselves said last week on their discord that very few people play cata. People are complaining about server populations. GM have a hard time recruiting. If you do not want to believe ironforge then go by other evidence.
To do this, those lazy players would need to install WoW first. How dares Blizzard force players to install game, suscribe and login, before getting all the loot! /s
Overall downward trend is the same on almost all realms, stats seem to be relevant. Otherwise if you have better source of Cataclysm Classic population statistics feel free to share it please.
Ironforge has updated the pvp/raider population. It’s a bloodbath.
Population has fallen from 85304 to 50877.
Probably guilds taking a week off in phase 3 before Firelands.
Quite possible, but my take is that they simply stopped raiding on alts, especially in GDKPs as T11 was way too long and every buyer got what they wanted by a discount.
Instead they focused on doing Molten Front dailies and leveling new alts during +50% exp buffs, maybe rerolling into meta or other faction IDK.
So that would mean that there are around 50k actual players.
