This is also completely wrong, because I remember there being some data in the past, which showed that league of legends and wow have a massive player overlap
I love when people like you talk about PvP because when I look you up to check your credentials I get a good laugh out of seeing:
‘This account doesn’t have PvP achievements’
They do not respond to your abilities however they have in place randomised abilities that you need to react to.
In arena you can know fairly well where everyone will be at any given point not exact but there is not a massive difference.
For top player vs top player yes if you can not do that at the top level you lose.
Because if you are actually at the top level you can be it is what did you do then react to that and counter it or vice versa.
It is actually more random to play vs bad players then to play vs the best players because of this.
Most people do not do PvP and even fewer people then the people who do a little bit of random stuff do not do ranked pvp
Where is the numbers?
Would be nice to have them linked if you have them, but also claiming the playerbase is known is idiotic at best as blizzard has not given out how many play the game in a LONG time, and have even stopped APLs the ability to get the number for at least 4years now.
Also in SL season 1 PVErs was doing PVP to get bis PVE items.
And which game is bigger?
I imagine it looks something like this, where W is WoW players only, O is the overlap, and L is League of Legends only:
WWOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Are you stupid or just stupid? i never claimed to do pvp i however can understand it because i am a human all you need is something called a brain.
Oh okay. So PvP is scripted? What is the exact script of a Demonology Shadowplay into a Sub Frost Disc RMP?
Are you salty that me, a PvP’er, has a better achievement than you in your main form of content?
That is one of the things that is stopping them entering PvP.Learning curve is huge.As i said in my first post, they are used to PvE encounters, which are scripted and are known since PTR testing exactly what and when they do,on top of that all the addons that help them and all that left for them is stand in right position and do dmg/healing rotation.
When they see PvP(Arena mainly) doesnt work that easy way, they just got hit by reality that actually they dont know much about the game and they have to learn alot more to be any good in PvP
It’s not scripting that does it.
If you fight 3 enemy players they’ve got a hundred abilities between them. A M+ boss has 4-6 + the affixes.
If you do not know you are not good enough in PVP to know it is called understanding the play field understanding the options you have in each scenario if someone where to reply to you exactly it would be so many words that you would not read it.
It is funny though how amazingly triggered you became of me saying it is scripted, if you do not think it is scripted you just do not know enough of the game to understand.
This whole Thread is about trying to get people LIKE MYSELF into pvp and you are one of the reasons why i would not care to join it if all it makes me as dumb as you are acting here.
So you claim yet you char you use right now has 1643 rating.
And you act like a child.
Do you know what a Script is?
because i do not think you know what a Script is.
Because that is literally what a script is.
If you think PvE is scripted yet you think PvP is not then you can not make the claim you just made here and be correct if your claim is true that makes PvE not scripted.
I’m 3k exp with 4 glads. If it’s a script, you should know what it is.
Do you realise that this is quite literally the OPPOSITE of a script? LOL.
I ment knowing alot not only about your own class/spec but about every other in the game(some would call it “learning curve”).Didnt mean script or not
Exactly, that’s why it’s so insane that we have as many pvpers in absolutes as we had in SL season 1. Dragonflight Season 1 Rated PvP Rating Discussion - Wowhead News
In the bottom they said that “more people participate in arena overall”, and I’ve seen someone else (didn’t find the quote I’ve seen 1-2 months ago) that it was in comparison to SL season 1, and it’s mainly attributed to shuffle. It’s insane to see more people participating overall despite the playerbase overall halfing.
I actually think that Rated Solo Shuff participation is on par with M+ one
Can absolutely see that, but it may have been higher at the start of the season.
In comparison to before does not tell you numbers at all though your claim is to big.
The facts are that solo shuffle increased the PVP player based.
The facts are also that we have no real number on that playerbase.
Ok, but you said yourself
and the claim of people here was that pvp was relatively a mini game, which it probably isn’t as shown.
But you do not have a blizzard post about the numbers, and any number that is not blizzard is 100% guesswork as the APL literally is blocked on how many players there are.
Without that information it does not help at all to make the claims you made.
Arena is a game inside of the game that makes it a minigame, however that is a different thing. And not important.
Based on metrics that we can see like viewer numbers on AWC and PVP streamers it however do look like we can say for sure there are less people wanting to watch pvp than pve.
And based on other factors there is less people doing pvp.
If it was not a thing something like Solo shuffle would not be added to the game in the first place.
But one of the biggest factors is the PVP playerbase you got 2 great examples right here of people acting in ways that reduces the want to play pvp instead of making more people want to play pvp.
Do you need to be taught the difference between experience and CR? P.s. my solo shuffle cr is 2.5 from 100 games - a rating you would never even get in your life.
So by your own admission you aren’t even into PvP, yet here you are, trying to tell somebody who has played PvP for years and at a level that you never will, how PvP works? Forums never fail to amaze me. You are special.
PvP isn’t scripted because it isn’t played in the same way since a human is in control. PvE is because it’s an automated computer.
Imagine I’m playing 2v2 with a Resto Druid against an Arms Warrior and Preservation Evoker.
The Evoker lands a Sleep Walk on my Resto Druid. I have all defensives available and my Resto Druid has all defensives available. The Warrior pops Avatar, Stormbolt and Spear of Bastion on me. The Resto Druid has all Hots ticking on me.
What’s the script here?
You are literally on the general forum in a post about trying to get more people involved in PVP and you act like a freaking child.
You are literally in a thread about trying to get people like myself to come do pvp do you really not understand you are literally part of the problem?
Have you really? you are too freaking scared to use the character you actually have pvped on to talk on so i can not care especially when you act like a man child.
It being a video game there is an optimal way to react in every situation that makes it scripted.
If you do not understand this basic concept then you must have been very much carried by everyone else you play with because you do not understand how the basic of the basic works.
The script is what you do when someone else do something.
A script do not need to be a computer doing things if you do not understand this you do not understand what a script is.
It being a human doing the thing does not change this at all.
? I don’t care if people do PvP or do not.
There is a website called check-pvp. Go to it, type my name in and you will see my characters and my experience. You’re welcome for yet another tip.
And the optimal way changes all the time, literally meaning it isn’t scripted. Many variables to consider.
Okay, so what is the script me and my partner follow in that scenario? What buttons do we or do we not press?
Literally changes everything. Hopefully you stay out of PvP because boy you are so wrong and delusional you would probably have mental breakdowns playing it.
