Because Blizzard push PvE content more than PvP. WoW (unfortunately) is mainly o PvE game. They want high level instances, to have better rewards than grinding rank 14 gives.
The effort and time required to obtain rank higher than 10, is not worth it (gear wise).
Imagine what will rank 14 gear worth, when AQ and Naxxramas are released.
I wouldnât say itâs not worth it, the armor at least has some higher armor than certain tier 3 parts. Naxx does make most of it obsolete though.
I mean all r14 weapons are like that not just ranged 
Not only that but the T2 set is almost as good as the High Warlord one and it gets better. You donât have any upgrades in the whole of AQ40, so enjoy playing with the same gear for the next 6-7 months until Naxx.
But as someone has already pointed out, this is a good thing as it helps you avoid the current cancer that is Premade PvP.
Yes, very unfortunate they are not buffing up the R13 set every patch to match pve gear for the pvpers. It doesnât have to do more dps, but atleast more stamina and close to the dps as the pve set to make it useful for pvp

@EvangeliĂ -blackmoore Right now hunters are the only ones who doesnât profit much from r14. All the other classes do. You will bring like 2 hunters per raid so it wont be hard to get the Ashjr bow from BWL
@Gothfis Yes⌠even the ranged weapon drop from AQ40 is worse than the xbow from BWL! They just gotta adjust the weapon speedâŚ
@Narcind. Why? I am explaining that hunters are the ones who are being left out. We scale the worse of everyone and our rewards are very poor. This is also the reason why hunters are doing bad in pve.
And again, it wonât hurt to adjust a few minor things for the R14 weapons for players who only enjoy to pvp and want a good reward out of it like other classes.
I want Blizzard to look into this

Then donât do it? Itâs a freakinâ legacy game, ofc itâs full of questionable things and wonky itemization is one of those.

R14 is almost = to t2.
R12 is only rank that is worth aiming for because you can get the 20+ stamina.
R13 if you are a warrior so you can get the set bonus.
@Zalanji, I want the r14 title for TBC. I am just asking for very minor changes. I am sure nobody would disagree on this because it doesnât change anything for the worse. Also, they have/had enough time to fix this problem, but they rather not invest any more money into classic (check the poor server stability when launching a new raid)
@Likkjjhhggff I know, but making a few items a little better aint gonna destroy classic. Hunters are already doomed by many things, not only itemization.

Everybody claims the changes they want are âvery minor changesâ, except if you add them all up they arenât really minor anymore.
Or you thought youâre the only one who would like to âchange a small thing to Classicâ?
If the changes doesnât hugely impact classic, then it should be ok if its for the better. This will only be a small upgrade for hunter pvpers who are the only ones not profiting highly from the pvp ranking system unlike other classes.
Maybe, your (relatively easy to obtain) epic staff and bow are so good, that you donât need to grind 16h/day for 6 months?
How do we know, that the rank 14 items are not good enough? I was killed in AB yesterday (my Priest had 4000 hp and 2300 armor) by a Hunter, in 3 shots. AS, MS and auto shot. Maybe its with berserker buff, but still it is a lot of damage for someone who is 41 yards away from you.
Youâre thinking of it all wrong, think of the xbow from bwl as a weapon thatâs better than r14, not that the r14 wep is worse than bwl xbow.
You get weapon thatâs better than r14 from just killing a boss in bwl!! Thatâs crazy and no other classes can get that advantage.

@Prokoustis, youâre missing the point. Achieving R14 is indeed putting in a lot of effort into classic pvp. It will take/sacrifice a long time before reaching it. Such a long time that the reward shouldnât be equal, if not worse than an MC bow.
Back to your question why if the weapon isnât good enough already. BWL drops the same xbow, but with a 3.40 speed instead of 2.90, which means the dmg would been even higher if that hunter would have gotten the xbow from BWL. Putting in such a high effort for R14 should atleast reward an equal, if not better weapon than BWL and certainly MC.
Rogues and warriors can benefit from this. They get a reward which is better than any MC or BWL drop.
@Cheetoh No, I donât see this as an advantage, all I see is that it is useless to grind up to r14 as a pvper myself. I donât like to raid anymore, I cleared the whole game in pvt servers while the game was adjusted to be more difficult. So no interest in classic pve.
And I, like many others, like to stay motivated reaching the end goal reward after a long journey, not a random boss drop and win the item because there are only 2 hunters in the raid.
If there would been atleast 8 hunters in the raid everytime, and the leaf bow would been worse, then there still would 've been a reason and motivation to grind up to R14, which I really want to do with a good reward at the finish line.
I am not asking for much, just a minor change to the pvp reward, it is not gonna break classic, because Ashj is already at a 3.40 speed and nobody is complaining, not pve nor pvp wise.

Considering they require you to sacrifice your life and become a social hermit, Iâd have done the research first. Itâs not difficult, they are all on Wowhead.
Also Hunters are the only class that can make use of both melee and ranged slots for R14 weapons (Warriors arenât going to use the ranged weapons as they have ranged AP).
Itâs also why many casters stop at R13. Sure the weapons are pretty nice, but they donât benefit from the damage on them, and there are just as good if not better alternatives available in BWL and beyond. Not worth the time involved for a slight upgrade.
Dude, itâs not gonna happen. If they wanted to make balancing changes they could do thousands of fixes. The point of classic is NOT doing any fixes. They will not do it, period.
