Exactly what the title says. Why is the r14 ranged weapon so bad?
I have a lot of free time now and I decided to grind all the way to r14 for my hunter. Checking out the rewards is just making me sad. Rhok’delar is almost as good as the r14 weapon. They both have a 2.90 speed (the slowest r14 ranged weapon, the bow is just 1.80 rofl) and they have roughly the same dps… Rhok’delar 44.0 while R14 xbow has a 46.4 dps.
To make things worse Chromaggus in BWL drops Ashjre which is a xbow with a 45.6 dps, but with a 3.40 speed! Which makes this bow BIS for both pve and pvp!
How is it possible that a R14 weapon is worse than a BWL drop let alone being only slightly better than a MC relatively easy to obtain bow (which isn’t really that bad with the extra 1% crit rating)
Rogues can have r14 daggers and swords which are better than all drops in both MC and BWL. I find this very unfair and demotivates me to grind up to r14. The Ranged weapons should get a patch fix imho.

I want to get rank 14, but I also want it to be a fun journey instead of just going from r13 to r14 without any good reward

Ye or blizzard just changes a few things which wont hurt classic at all. They changed many things already anyway. I’d call this honestly a minor fix in game

That’s what everybody thinks about their changes.
If the bow is bad for you, but you want R14, get R14 and then use the bow as a “yeah look what I wasted my time getting” display when stood in Org/IF and/or ganking lowbies.

You also get the melee weapons as stat boosters. The ranged pvp weapons are useless for everyone except hunters.

Its the main weapon for hunters bro. It is like a 2h or sword/dagger is for rogues. They really had to think better about it while designing…
It was designed over 15 years ago, they didn’t exactly know what they were doing with hunters back then. Hense why you have spellpower scaling on Serpent Sting and Arcane Shot.
It’s also why there’s cloth items ingame with strength.

I honestly do believe they somewhat knew what they were doing. 2.90 is used for clipped rotations unlike full rotations, but obviously that isn’t gonna be any good for pvp. (its a pvp reward) The slower the weapon, the better aim shots+ multi shots youll get. Even if you didn’t know what you were doing back then in 2004-2006. It was obvious that the slower your weapon is, the more dmg youll do.
It is an easy fix to just slower the speed of the weapon and boom, its viable after an intense grind for r14

For real man. They can do this in a heartbeat if they wanted. Wish I had the power that everyone would unsub until the r14 pvp weapons would get fixed lol:P they would even change it@ midnight hours
Not going to happen, do R14 or not, stop whining like a baby. Also, reroll.
Kaeti, who are you to tell me what to do? I am here explaining why it is unfun to grind to 14 as a hunter (I am for sure not the only one) which happens to be the class I am best at and have most fun with in pvp. If you have nothing valuble to say, then don’t reply at all. Thanks
Rank 14 grind is NOT fun and not a fun journey, I don’t think you understand.
If you want FUN do NOT grind 16 hours a day for 3 weeks + from r13 alone.
No one cares about r14 anymore and the weps are garbo for you, no point.
Instead, have fun, do pvp for fun, own scrubs, play with ur mates and live a healthy life while playing wow.

So just grind to FM and get the Ashjre saves you 3 weeks of playing 12+ hours a day.

People just don’t seem to get it. I am comparing the situation for example with a rogue. They can have daggers and swords after reaching rank 14 who are better than any sword or dagger until NAXX. Same goes for warrior.
I just want an equal treatment. I am not talking about class balance changes or anything, just a fair item progress, I am not asking for much. This is a healthy change imho and I really want Blizzard to look into this.
