Why is the scaleing of this season so much frustration

I’d disagree here. Most of classes have around 18-20 abilities to bind if you don’t create different focus/target macros.

I also don’t count some abilities as Arcane Intellect or Mage food as you usually don’t need to use it in you rotation, so it can be put to some side action bar and doesn’t really require a keybind.

The variance between classes is way wider than 18-20 keys

Honestly, I think the easiest way to solve this is to create a lot of choice nodes between passive and active abilities for utility spells. This way, they can let people have more control over how many abilities they have total. This would surgically ease barrier of entry, while also letting people keep buttons they like in various content.

make consecration for prot paladins proc of judgment instead that would solve 1 problem.

In all honesty, I feel frustration even playing this season. Its either tanks or 1 dps or healer that can’t drink/tank/dps or timer being down people leaves.

Pvp is way funnier, There’s no limits or mechanics that randomly one shots you when you got to move.

What does that even mean? Overscaled compared to what? Compared to removed content? Compared to one another - wait no, you’re saying specifically not that.

You know what, we could all be stuck at level +2 with rank one players at +4 for all I care. In fact that’s basically exactly how raids work. As long as we are well rewarded it’s all good. And we are.

when the rewards is time wasted by 8 hrs then the game feels rewarding.

this is probably true for many since the company upstairs isn’t listening, Keeps on giving for the 1% people.

also agree with this person.

Want the best gear? Bring your A game. It’s not about time. You can get your weekly unlock in 1 hour if you’re good. It’s about skill - for many they end up pugging, which is typically a failure to play the social aspect of the game well.

I’m actually doing worse than you I think, but I’m still not complaining. I know it’s hard to get myth level gear. Always has been.

I do agree with that person as well though.

pilav <-Spoiler. stated that half his guild bought boosts during shadowlands due to content being over scaled blizzard kept it in until season 4. They are rather slow grasping the mmorpg scene, people wants to do stuff but the stuff is over scaled.

take time walking for example. There is way more people playing that than current seasons, yet blizzard don’t improve on it.

There is no “random one shots mechanics” at all.

My mistake, I made not proper calculations :joy:

Yeah, it’s around 30-36, but still some abilities are situational / on relatively high cooldown.

An mmorpg should be the way you meet people make friends but retail has the worst of the systems.

I don’t play classic but Queuing there feels like your wanted queuing in retail feels like they want you gone for forever with all the stress and toxicity going out.

I think OP wanted to ask about why retail treats people with no gain nor rewards for improving yes a title and a mount. But the ladder there feels like you don’t want to carry on playing when the player base treats you with sarcasm and don’t help you to improve.

You could join a guild yes but for how long if you keep carry on the same mistakes which gets you killed. The learning curve needs to be addressed by blizzard HQ.

Also they need to improve on the social behavior of people in game.

Oh, that part is absolutely true. The game does an awful, awful job of getting you swept into the community these days. Of that there can be no doubt.

Makes what I said before even more important and much more difficult. I was there just recently. If you don’t know people playing WoW already, the game might as well be a graveyard.

The problem is scaleing both sides of the coin for skilled people its no problem. But for people on the other side who want to play there is no way. Yhey can just quit the game since there’s no point in playing, When you can’t even reach that goal together with your friend.

It’s the company fault for creating that within the game. I’m seriously astounded by them promoting toxicity. Its awful that a person can say what ever they want whenever with out even reports getting read.

I agree with what your saying its the time factor of it, I hate that it takes so much time to get in to a key or when you do your own key its always a failure since

A. theres always one who doesn’t care.

B. the LFG system works in a bad way and needs to be updated.

C. I feel the time looking for people is not met with equal respect.

I agree with what you typed I’m sorry for you I truly am but Its blizzard being blizzard.

Well for example Ret and Prot Pala have around 20-26 keys depending on your talents, so they are fine imo. Especially next patch they will have even more choice nodes to adjust their preferred number of button.

Fire mage has around 20 keybinds too, which is very beginner friendly. They have the option of getting more active utility for pvp, but they don’t need to. You could play with 30+ buttons, but you have the choice of not doing that as a fire mage, even if it may not be optimal.

Shaman on the other hand is at around 35-40+, no matter which spec you play, and there is also no way to really adjust it either.

Warrior has huge variance between specs. Prot only has 24 keybinds roughly, fury about a bit less, while Arms is almost at 36.

So yeah, there is a gigantic variance between classes, and even specs.

Hunters are at between 24 and 36 despite their stigma.

Sorry for going a bit off-topic, but it might be a big reason, why people think the content is too hard: They may be too busy learning their class to really learn the game itself.

I think this is true to some extent even if blizzard tried for a year to fix this it still wont fix the mmorpg it self.

The part of time wasting is over the top in this season.

I had all classes in DF and I usually (except few specs) had enough space to put all required rotation spells and 2 trinkets into 3 action bars.

I don’t have any advice except to learn class gradually. But I think any top player says that reacting to mechanics and environment (e.g. whats going on around you) is more important than your perfect dps rotation.

Introduction of some automated LFG queue won’t help this too, but others often propose it. It will actually give opposite result.

I’d say that people need to realize by themselves that by joining some guild and community it’s much easier to find partners for some M+ keys to run. Especially when they struggle to join pug keys.

PvE doesn’t have mechanics that “randomly” 1 shot you.

And this is a relevant response to what I said because…?

will probably exist until more people gets ilvls.
