Why mages hate pants?

So I have been looking for a tmog set for my mage.
And the only option with pants and not a doll dress was https://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=2644/runebound-regalia

Can we press F for the mages who don’t like to look like medieval court lady?

Mages are wizards, robe is a dress code for wizards.

IC: I do not hate pants, I have them underneath my skirt. Some may say that my dress looks like my grannys’ and I have her table cloth as a cape. They are right. I also use my grannys flying mat for transportation…

Back to OP topic: There are so few cool looking frost themed sets that this is the best I was able to figure out.

my alts, both of them wearing pants. (Appears I’ve forgot to mog priest’s boots.)

I see no pants problem here?

Edit: Also sorry for the weapon mog, I lack imagination.

Uhm what? There is so much possibilities for no dress transmogs.
Here is my style:

Get a shirt transmog, then use a tabard on-top of it. It’s how I do it for most cloth wearers.

Like my mage for example:

Google big blue dress - classic wow movie clip.

I guess you have to get creative and put your own transmog together. Sets are very robe themed so you have to go off plan!!!

I wish I could come up with something more creative than mageweave “dollars in the strings” set plus a skull and chains on the waist from the latest pew pew gear…
Hence this thread to see how other people overcome cloth pants crysis :>

It can be quite daunting making your own, especially to start with. A friend who makes a lot of his own transmogs encouraged me. He told me to find an item I really like, so in this case aim for pants, then build on that finding bits you like. Then if necessary go farm them.

Alternatively you can google but I hope people also give you inspiration with their ideas. Best of luck.

I like this combination.

I have to say it is kind of ironic that mage mogs mostly seem to be either fully covered in robes or somewhat slutty xD
