I have lots of characters in many guilds but most of them are dead. People are bored from WoW?

It’s called the end of expansion lul, Shadowlands was a particularly not great expansion so people have gone to try different things.
Things may pop up towards the launch of DF but it depends on if Blizz are able to rekindle the trust of players after 2 bad expansions.

While bfa wasnt the worst it was not a good expansion and never tickled the warcraft fantasy for many folks, it was too centralised on petty conflicts.
BFA is the worst expansion along with Legion. SL is miles better than both of them.
This has happened at the end of every expansion since the dawn of time.

Thats in your opinion, personally in my opinion Legion was Great, Bfa was Ok and SL’s has been boring.
And I think a majority of the playerbase saw SL’s as the last straw.

There is no point being in the guild. Dont listen to anyone telling you that this happens everytime at the end of expansion beoucse it didnt happen to guilds on TBC and several past expansion never had this problem.
Majority of progression can be fone in M+ which is easly puggable and removes any need for players being in guild specialy not when raiding is pretty much waste of time.

- No loot in dungeons since 9.0
- you can’t get jailer weapon after killing this boss for weeks with the same group.
- wl, hunter are the only classes blizz cared about in m+
- heavily gated player power due to world first race.
- overtuned last raid tier with one shot mechanics to make echo happy.
In a nutshell… It’s not a game it’s a second job with only streamers gaining some profit from it

This always happens around the end of an expansion and season 4 doesn’t seem to be bringing that many back so for a lot of people this is the end already. But if you prefer you could be like Elias and happily lie to yourself (as usual) and pretend it didn’t happen during TBC 
It did though…
Usually I use this time myself to get to all the boring and tedious things I skipped at the start. Suppose we’ll see what will happen in season 4.

Not as many players in general anymore.
Guilds being obsolete to discord and communities.

Also, Retail doesn’t really encourage player interactions either, which would be important for founding guilds - it’s not enough to be wanting to clear raids, you want to build a good community around it as well, something only a few manage to do properly. That will keep the playerbase together - remember, a guild is mainly about doing content together with likeminded players who share positive values, mainly in teamwork.
That said, because of SL’s flaws, and because it’s the end of it anyways with nothing new on sight till DF (S4 is, so to say, the great recycling), most peeps have taken a break. Some are planning to get its KSM for the mount strictly, however.

You couldn’t play off-specs and much less any alts. How is it not one of the worst expansions? You were stuck with one spec and one character.
No clue why any one would be bored.
I’m having a blast trying out different classes tier sets and legendaries.
Currently have a Frost DK, Surv Hunter, Resto Druid, Prot Paladin at 270 ilvl or above.
Just sucks that there will be a S4 tho, So i can’t really continue this.
The development of Communities - particularly now that they are cross-faction - has an impact on it also. I think that, until they make guilds cross-faction, that guilds will continue to decline as people favour options such as Communities and off-game platforms such as Discord to communicate.
pretty much nothing to do outside of m+ spam and farming old content.

When the best guild of mine server decides to focus on prep to WotLK than clearing sepulcher and boosting, something went wrong.

Most guilds are on a break. For example our guild is resuming for S4. Not all guilds are interested in S4 but things should be back in full swing die the new expansion.
End of expansions have always been quieter.
