Why many guilds are dead?

Lol no loot in dungeons? Also wl, hunters true but its not blizzard its the community that has some tunnel vision that those classes are good because they see at echo or limit and ye. Echo is still the best overall they proved it again with their comeback to limit and they where far behind immo.

That hunters and wl are going to be the next meta is not just assumed by the community it’s based on facts. Right now SV and mm are the top DPS specs in m+ if you check the casual segment (0-20). And those classes are receiving by far the best feedback on alpha which is going to produce the best talent tree for dragonflight.

IT doesnt matter what is in talent trees. What matters is how their DMG will be tuned. They can have best trees in the world but if DMG numbers are not there they will be considered complete trash

Let’s be real here, many people are saying that BfA or Shadowlands were the worst expansions.

WoD was so bad it created such big holes in the Warcraft universe narrative that it seems unfixable in the foreseeable future -today-, and it had such low amounts of content that we have to be thankful in comparison to BfA and Shadowlands.

I’m just fine with things as BfA story wise (except for the clear inconsistencies and lack of direction), but honestly, I hope they NEVER do another WoD or Shadowlands, they surely don’t know how to expand the lore in such ways.

It has always been this way lot of people tend to “play” solo and even when in a guild they say nothing they are probarbly just there for the guild perks…

Then you have the specific orientated guilds that do m+ or raid or pvp specificly

And lastly you have social guilds those are the guilds that have people who wanna talk

Well SL raids is boring.
Before some days a dude ask me to join his guild. But for me now it have no use. I don’t want to raid cause the raids are boring and have some lame tactics. Even a M+ guild dosen’t sound good to me cause they usually make their own teams and it’s hard to even get and invite in the end. Also M+ can gear me up just fine and make me enjoy WoW at the moment.
Solo Pug M+ , LFR for mogging and farm old raids atm feels fine for me.

If the foundation is good they will most likely be meta. Also wl and hunters have 3 Specs each so one spec at least will be good.

Wow isn’t dead, there will always be people playing. Sunken cost fallacy. But I can tell you it’s more empty.

Did you see outlaw rogues lately? They wipe the floor with a survival hunter and warlock?

Castle nathria was the best raid ever made tho, sanctum was cringe, sepulchor was fine

hmm, a dictator starts a war by attacking a neighbour country, the other nations fight back.
The attacked ask for help: the help say they have their own problems but they give you some assistance.
The attacked don’t like that idea but stay friendly to them but bitter.
One member of the attacked become the beacon of the resistance.
A new weapon risk the entire world to be annihilated but everything seems to be in control, for now.
The attackers distance themselves from the other countries (factions) and go in search for other allies to help them win the war.
The same do the other factions.
The war is there but it looks like a skeleton of what was at the beginning.

… … yeah, very bad writing and not possible that would happen in real life.

come back when you checked the numbers.

I think Blizzard should change how guilds work. Players have like 20 alts now, and these alts sit as offline in various guilds. Even if a player is currently playing, it appears as offline in the other guilds.

I think you should join a guild as an account not as a character. Guilds might start to feel more lively then.

This may be your experience, but it isn’t mine. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. Some people are completely happy playing solo all the time, or pugging what they want to pug, or even perhaps being in a community.

However, there are still plenty of people out there who want to be in a guild. You only have to look at the number of active guilds. If the only reason to be in a guild was to do mythic raids, then a lot less people would be in guilds … and certainly there would be less characters per account in those guilds. And there would be a lot less people creating new guilds.

We regularly have applicants who are just looking for a guild in order to get some of that “MMO” feel in a friendly environment.

As I said before … our guild is a social guild - we have people who never join in with group content, but are happy to sit and chat in guild chat/discord; our guild also does M+ both casually (low level, no pressure to time - including one day a week as a “training” day to introduce people to them) and pushing higher keys to time them. Our guild also raids, but not Mythic. Our raids have more an atmosphere of being “down the pub” - having a chat, having a bit of a laugh, whilst downing some bosses. And we’re happy to take along people who have little or no experience.

So you can be both social and raiding/M+.

I don’t agree. I run a guild and most of my alts are in that guild. However, I also have alts - some who aren’t in a guild at all, just so that sometimes I can remove myself from the management chair for a while, a couple who are banking alts who help maintain my other characters.

We have members who have characters in multiple guilds … and play those characters in multiple guilds. We don’t do mythic raiding, so we might have members who have characters in a mythic raiding guild - but the mythic raiding guild essentially just raids and logs off; people might want to keep alliance and horde alts separate (assuming that, at some point, Blizzard allow horde & alliance mixed guilds).

Guilds are as lively as the people in them make them. If you have a guild of 900 characters, that’s no guarantee it’s going to be more active than a guild with 300 characters. Having an active guild actually requires some work - not just shoving a bunch of strangers in a room and closing the door.

What is a guild? :stuck_out_tongue:
Hm, can i eat it? :candy:
(I know what guild is, i am in one on tbc servers.)
