I really have to argue with you at point 4.
You basically copied a #prochanges speech and included the word “rational” in it.
Who are these “rational human beings” are you talking about anyway, where have you seen them?
Also saying that Blizzard will have the final say on what’s “rational” and what isn’t, well… it’s definitely not a good argument as the whole point was for Blizzard not to get their little dirty retail fingers into the game from the start.
As to “once you make one change people will demand more” is actually something that most people here are agreeing as being true.
Introducing again the word “rational” doesn’t change anything.
You are missing some info.
We have #nochanges so we would stop Blizzard from making them and Blizzard agreed to this so people won’t ask for them.
It comed to this as the community didn’t had much trust in the developers.
As for point 1, “keep the experience as close to original Vanilla” by #nochanges isn’t exactly true.
It’s more about playing the same game and not having the same experience.
It’s impossible to recreate the experience of a game that was played 15y ago. We are not the same players + there are many new players with a different gaming mentally.
PS. If a true Vanilla experience would be the end goal then add-ons like Questie would be banned. I can only imagine how that would’ve been.
