Hmmm… Just straight up ignoring the ERA-part. Just like Blizzard. Everyone know we will get a year of TBC in the future. Why bother stating that when people are discussing era-servers?
But back to the topic of Era. Im assuming Blizzard will force everyone to Cataclysm again and kill off everything we have worked for. It’s what they chose to do before and it’s why they are dead silent when people ask them. They are just milking tbc/wrath players for another year of subs in vanilla again.

From my pov, the best approach will be to have Classic Era, TBC Era and WOTLK Era severs , with the possibility to migrate your char(s) to the next (expansion) server once you get bored or feel you are ready to go.
I love playing Classic Era, since I didn’t have the opportunity to experiment “the full classic experience” back in the day. I started to play when TBC was about to be released, so the game wasn’t the same. Then, TBC came out, and the game changed completely, even though I didn’t have enough level to go to Terrallende and even haven’t bought the expansion yet. But, I’ve also created a char in the new fresh anniversary serves, since I love TBC.
With this approach, people would have the opportunity to play the expansion they loved, creating chars directly in their expansion or just migrating from previous ones. Of course, if you decide to migrate from Classic Era to a higher expansion, or from TBC Era to WOTLK Era, it will be a one way ticket.
I think that’d be great. It will offer the flexibility for all of us to play the game the way we want to play it without pressure. “Just update whenever you’re ready” .
If you’re playing Classic Era, and you feel kinda bored, feel that the game has nothing more to offer, or simply want to try “the next level”, just do it.
If you want to try TBC Era or WOTLK Era from scratch, just do it.
Happy gaming folks!
Tbh at this time i think we should have classic servers for wiping butt
