Why nobody duels

Honestly not even one person outside of capital cities to duel. What happened with this game? The community are too busy minmaxxing and treating this game like a full time job to come outside to do something fun on this game? It’s funny how when you’re in open world pvp you’re instantly swarmed by higher levels who will corpse camp you continuously and suddenly the players are all coming out to “PvP” at the sight of a 4 on 1 fight. Oh how I wish for a duel zone or 1v1 queue.

i mean i dont think tbc was every very 1v1 orientated. i dont remember there being much dueling back in the day on my server. mostly because of how unbalanced pvp actually was in that regard. it was pretty rock paper scissors and no one liked dueling there anti class.

I remember back in TBC I spent more time in duelotar than I did running dungeons. I met most of my friends list whilst duelling.
Hours upon hours of practise, entire evenings duelling.
then when it comes down to that 1v1 in arena. you won’t choke.

  1. dueling kinda dyed out during all expansions

  2. it give no rewords

  3. you with 95% certent know how this duel will go especial when its melee vs mage or someone vs rogue ,

Why nobody duels

Yes, why does nobody duel against a rogue, the class most perfectly suited to 1v1 situations, and an undead rogue at that, especially in a phase of the game where low-resilience means that bursting down a target in stunlock still works against almost every class.

I wonder…

To be honest rogues are really tedious to duel, i would say from personal experience it was Cata when most people dueled but that might be because main cities were IF/SW and Ogg

Yes pretty much. You have your FOTM re-rollers, the PvP tryhards, The griefers and so on. Fun was tossed out the window a long time ago for some people.
On a side note a lot of people that claim they wanted to play a game from 2007 are to busy trying to turn it into a game from 2021.

This particular MMO was NEVER balanced around 1v1.

That must be EXTRA fun to duel with low resilience.
I am sure it must be fun for Rogue.
Same fun like dueling with rogue vs fully resilience stacked up feral druid in bear form. Right ?

UD rogue “DuEl Me bRo”
…nah I’ll pass.

haha yeah why don’t we duel rogues and mages with our 100 resil
come outside of the city it will be fun!

All of you tryhards take this game too seriously, why can’t you duel a rogue even if you only have a small chance of winning? I don’t know, maybe try and have fun for once? Do you seriously have to win duels to play them?

I was dueling on my boosted char vs full T2-3 before the Portal opened, I lost all duels so what? I had fun lol. You clowns complain about minmaxing in other threads but you can’t even duel if you don’t have an upper hand lmao. It’s funny because people like you are usually bad at this game, worried about looking weak

Yeah locks are amazing to duel against tho! They are the the perfect example of balance! Syphone life + dots and drain life/mana 0-24.

This so much!

Somehow I consider a bit fair chances fun. Silly me.
And if you find fun in deleting your fellow duelist in a 2-4 spells / in two stuns, well people have different tastes

No I don’t find it fun two shoting people in duels, that’s actually THE OPPOSITE of what I sad

I think its because shatt is the place to be and dueling outside may result in unfortunate encounters with the opposite faction?

Dueling infront of capitals especially in durotar were a thing in wotlk because dalaran had no outskirt area to do so… so wait for wotlk it will be huge

Eeh you could duel in the underbelly, where you queue for arena.
