I know some specs would look a little bit weird, but overall more customization would look great.
And no, it’s not gonna cost us a raid tier and it won’t the hurt the balance, Karen.
Its not like paladins run around in skirts, since … uhmm … literally vanilla wow … It would look weird if we had actual armour, but as long as we have 2d body paintings it doesnt really matter …
It matters because I have seen mages wear clothes for 20 years now. If they wear leather, which is close to cloth, would be fine. But plate kinda kills the class fantasy, don’t you think? Mages don’t have the physical strength of a warrior, at least most of them won’t have it.
I just think it kills the class fantasy. Besides, I can imagine some nice mogs, but I also imagine people wearing 4 different types of gear materials on them so they can look edgy or something. I think mogs that are close to each other in terms of their weight could work, like plate/mail. But from cloth to plate… not sure, tbh.
In fact I expect many of them to do that, haha. Especially high level pvpers (sorry, not trying to insult anyone, it’s just I always felt like high-en pvpers are a bit edgy xd).
And transmog shaman shield to something else too cuz Shamans wearing a shield makes absolute no sense to me.
Also about these restrictions … anyone remembers glorious days of early wow, when people were stealing each others loot for PvE ?
All those shamans and paladins with rogue S2 shoulders, warriors in mail helmets with intel and dont even mention healers, there were whole battlefields about that issue, as long as it has bonus healing on it, its automatically shapeshifting cleathailate and anyone can nick that …
Saying people would look like clowns completely ignores all those years people were looking like clowns before Tmog was in …
Tbh its mostly cloth users who got shafted, locked only to cloth stuff and especially priests who cant even use cool looking swords …
I have many leather wearing chars and I often think, “Dam that mog would look so good on a mage.” But that’s just me.
Also, when I play warrior, sometimes I wish I could mog some mail armor. Usually I dress my warrior like a homeless mercenary. I never liked the idea of being a champion or the maw walker or the chosen one with my war. So I think mail armor would satisfy my fetishes.
It’s not big use that warriors can wear anything because we can’t transmog it anyways. And now low level is alsmost no existence. For 2-3 days we are these homeless-looking guys, and then when we are 60, we are sages.
well, you can already see one…its called a dark iron dwarf in heritage armor!
Not to mention you can have a (tauren) warrior running around in their underpants and a vest made of bones and leather so really heritage armor has made the transmog limitations obsolete now!
Lets remember that really a lot of the sets are ridiculous in the extreme from a reality perspective…
So many of the pieces are so clunky, large, and unwieldy, that all really any enemy has to do is wait for me to fall over then kick me to death…
Not to mention in some cases ALL that SKIN showing…
“Hmmmm Kevin, where should I stab her…”
A mage in plate well that’s actually more realistic than above, if I was flinging magic about I’d want some heavy protection, imagine where those sparks could LAND!!!
I think anything that expands the ability to create and individualise your character is all to the good…however bare in mind only my two cents, and I am on a RPG server (hugs)
Hell yeah! I would like the Vestments of Raging Elements from Twilight Highlands, and Volcanic Regalia from Firelands, mail armor, the shoulders mainly, from my Dwarf Shaman collection, so I can use them on my Dwarven Warrior and Paladin. Please nice people working at Blizzard, make this happen! Thanks
