There is a difference between having boost offers and having a complete spam of non stop boosters 24/7 by the exact same people to the point that nothing is even readable anymore because the chat is going so fast with huge walls of text

Of course, i was just getting at the thing others have pointed out in this thread that the spamming gets to such a point that no one can read anything. Its just a wall of text moving at the speed of a chat of a 100k viewer twitch stream

Its pointless, so why not get an outlet for them to advertise properly?

Still logged in and watching, Still the same people spamming the message with their macro, Not a single other person has spoken, Just the same ones. It goes on for hours. I donā€™t get why this isnā€™t spam. I even wrote a message and I couldnā€™t read it , nevermind others. They have control over the chat.

There is even someone spamming that they want to buy and sell CS GO items (sounds like a scam)

They are all doing it on level 1 characters, Itā€™s almost like they think itā€™s wrong to do it.

I used to block and report, but this was back in the day when you could get restricted on reporting if you did it too many times.

Complete mockery of the System. Blizz really donā€™t care.

Why Iā€™ll never use trade or general chat ever again because even with chat or spam addons it doesnā€™t help

Sylvanas Boost Community seems to be the biggest spammers, They have 3 different characters spamming similar messages in a different way from each other.

I think Blizzard should also do a better job of filtering out the people who simply advertise for third party stuff and the legit people who actually sell for gold.

Like there are a good handful of communities who do legit boosting and try to make a good reputation for themselves.

It really baffles me that some people actually defend the state of trade chat and the amount of spam created by boosters to the point that no players are actually on it anymore , they just have to leave it if they dont want to get overwhelmed in a single second

If I had trade chat open I wouldnā€™t see any of my real id messages ever, You could argue I could use whisper windows though, but still.

There are and I managed to find a boost for the my Curve. However I found this through group finder not trade. Iā€™d never trust the trade window.

Sod whispers. You wouldnā€™t see any guild chat.

I mean, people donā€™t use trade chat for anything else. If it truly annoys you, then move it to a seperate window. There is literally no other use for trade chat at this point. If people want to sell items, they use the AH nowadays.

Exactly , they dont use trade chat because they cant even if they wanted to , have you tried going on Draenor and Silvermoon and trying to use trade chat ? If not please do and report back with whoā€™s fault it is trade chat is not being used.

Who is defending anyone? The ā€œdefendersā€ are simply stating obvious that the trade chat is being used for what it was designed for. In this case, selling something. Be it an item X or a serviceā€¦matters little. Even before the advertisers came.
/2 channel was:

  • empty
  • some lousy a**l joke
  • maybe once a month, somebody selling an item.

And this coming from a high pop realm. On lower peps, it was probably deadā€¦

The Ah existed before and people used trade chat. I donā€™t get the posts implying itā€™s not used because of the AH.

They arenā€™t complaining about the message they are talking about the non stop macro spam.

Mate, I play on Ragnaros and Argent Dawn, I know what a flooded trade chat looks like.

Boosting is trading. You canā€™t change that or stop that. There are even regulations as to how people can advertise boosting.

Is that why LFG is filled up with boost sellers as well ? While there is supposed to be a rule preventing them from doing so ?

There is a rule against them - all that you need to do is report them. Sadly, a lot of people undercut it with alt accounts, and this is something Iā€™d like to see Blizzard take action against.

Is it acceptable for the same boost guild spamming on 3 different characters with a macro constantly over and over? So Itā€™s ok for me to have a guild with 40 people doing the same? Or multibox spam trade chat and make it mine?

What for new chanel? Only boosters will log there, and boost=trade.

If u wanna sell product u go where people are, not where other sellers areā€¦
