Why rush Classic anniversary?

Why MC so fast? Its like everyone rushes now and for those not rushing MC geared gankers will be around just after Christmas. Is this classic where its about the journey? Blizz could at least have waited until after Christmas with MC raid. So that people could chill for a month and a half before MC.

Personally, I’d also enjoy if they delayed it a little bit, give us another 2 weeks until MC comes out, and maybe instead of 1 year of Classic (and the future expansions), make it 1 year and a half, so we have more time to gear up, maybe make 1 alt or 2, and experience each phase a bit better

My guild is planning first guild MC run on… 15th of January  still I would say no-raid phase the best phase.

It’s not really one year. If TBC comes in like March 2026 you get 15-16 months. If people in Autumn will be yelling for TBC it may come earlier but if people will be more into AQ and then Naxx then TBC is easy 2026 on their roadmap.

totaly agree with this. i hate to say that retail players also kill the classic vibe, which was not supposed to be spamming dungeons and rushing to max lvl

Even before Blizzard Classic thr meta of private servers was to level up fast and start farming preraid bis. Very few are into “journey” and retail isn’t related

I agree, delay MC until January/February time people have stuff to do over Christmas and levelling in Classic takes a fair amount of time as is. If wait until end of January then most players will be in the middle 40s-60 on their mains…

Please stop catering to no lifers, this is what killed SoD.

I suppose…

  • Slowbies like me should be immune to it by now. Yes, I’m behind. So what.
  • Every single server launch so far: Out of content, next phase when?
  • Well, this way they’ll either go on a break soon, or carry (help) the slower folks.

I believe Anniversary is merely a vessel to deliver players to TBC which is why they already revealed it. Ultimately fresh TBC would be very rough considering all the gold sinks that expansion has so giving the players chance and time to grew in strength is probably the best solution. Keep in mind I have no evidence of this. It’s just something me and my friends speculate might be the case here.

As a level 60 who also is Pre-raid gear i Think it should have been 1 week more than planned. Not because im not ready because i am , but more to give more People a chance to get on the first mc.

Its not a retail problem, Players in general are not noobs anymore. And people who play alot over the years Just want to get to max lvl as fast as possible, i think the casual player is still the one chilling and questing, Classic is just full of sweaty pserver players

While I also would like delayed MC release what is preventing you from leveling after the raid is released?

And by the time BWL hits, all of the Fresh feelings will be out the window.

It is what always has happened with this game and its re-releases.

Era solves that.

Fear of Missing Out
due to
Fear of Elitist Community Yet Again
namely
The equivalent of “link achi” and “link gearscore” after the first couple weeks, which new characters won’t pass. If you lag you miss out. By that definition 90% or more of the playerbase is a failure.

Couldn’t agree more… it’s a rushfest catering to the few Degen individuals while the vast majority feels rushed and will burn out fast because they will be behind the few sweaters

Curious why people care that much about raid releases. Even in Classic it was “too quickly”.

My guild that already has level 60 toons still is picking up level 10 and plans a maybe-run on 15 of January

And all those pixels will be obsoleted by TBC.

Ding 60, get into ZGs, then PUG split runs of MC and BWL to get showered by free tier gear all to then raid AQ and Naxx into infinity. This isn’t what most people really want and low population doing that reflects it. Even in Classic or private servers before it - population before AQ was going down rapidly, to then force guild merges to be able to clear Naxx.

Raidligging in old WoW versions is the least appealing content while also being some sort of meta denominator.
