/flex on them and watch them have a melt down, if they try and /w you toxic words after a simple /flex ignore and report.
In the end it seems to annoy them more then annoying us.

I’m not bothered about the boosted characters since it’s a one off, but I do get the dislike people have for it. I would say though that based on what people have been saying in game and on these forums, it definitely does annoy those who boosted than those doing /spit. I think you’re trying to make those who boosted feel superior. Imagine what these people would have been like back in Vanilla when you got corpse camped or someone ganked you and then /spit. Thankfully the community weren’t so soft and easily butthurt then.

I don’t remember the forums being this hostile. People being glad that I get discouraged from playing the game etc.
I wonder why this community got so toxic over the years.
As some people said, the more genuine players maybe stick to smaller communities in minor servers.

People who complain about the boosts have a point though, just going with the flow and being all “whatever” is what ruined retail for so many. Players should be encouraged to complain about things they don’t like in the game, and they are. They are paying for it after all. It’s not like a youtube channel where there viewers think they have some major stake in the channel to have some say, it’s free entertainment.

Lots of boosted on our realm, many with the deluxe package. A lot of people in the major guilds bought boosts and are levelling a Belf currently using the stalker mount. Not too much spitting going on here. Guess it’s a pretty mature server with a small community even the global channels feel more like guild chat most of the times, if you skip the boost ads. No idea how it is on alliance side.

the thing you all are missing is that by buying these special editions or whatever they are supporting blizzards behaviour that ultimately led to what retail is.
its not about being poor or whatever its about having a mostly authentic tbc experience not some MTX mounts and toys and character boosts like retail

Spot on, the same applies to real life and purchases. Instead of thinking “That’s a rip off and not value for money” it’s “I do technically have the money…so why not, I want fun now”. Scalpers are loving those people.

The boost is something you as a player can choose to not tell blizzard you don’t accept by not buying it. If you choose to encourage blizzard by buying it I’ll let you know I don’t like you.

I would agree with you if the “integrity” of the game had not been thrown out in the trash a while ago (more or less p2 and up) in Classic :s
Yes Bli$$ adding all the mtx does not help, but they would have never done anything if the community wasn’t already addicted to exploits, boosts and gold buying and other p2w stuff. Like buying Naxx gear with RMT gold buying in GDKP etc. They saw the players in Classic, concluded: " ok those guys have no integrity whatsoever, let’s milk them hard".

id much rather blizzard dig the integrity out of the trash, dust it off and fix the issues, instead of doing that they have dumped more trash on top of it so instead of the integrity being dirty its now disappeared
