Why so toxic against boosted chars?

Is there a way we can identify people with this much hate in their life? I ask because boost or no, I don’t want to play with those losers.

TBC OG has MTX mounts, pets and toys hidden behind the most cancerous of all paywalls, loot-boxes. I’d rather someone spend a few dollars for their mount than a couple of thousand dollars.

It’s probably time for them to realise that this is the world we live in now, things won’t change and Blizzard will monetarise their IP in the best way they see fit and, if this isn’t for them they probably need to think about finding another game.

Indeed i agree 100% , fixing and banning would be the best thing to do. But we both know this is not happening. Not with 2021 Blizz. They can’t afford the sub losses. Old Blizz North who actually cared about their games / players is long gone.

It’s probably time to realise that you have a choice not to buy the additional services.

But I like the service, aren’t games supposed to be for enjoyment anymore?

Blizz sells a game service which I enjoy, how can it be immoral to purchase it?

I don’t see the need for the hostile tone either.

So if someone sells something it can’t be immoral to buy it? Yikes…

I do, and I’ve chosen to buy them, many have chosen not to, that’s also fine. What is not healthy is feeling so mad about the introduction of MTX that your as one forum user put it “so mad I’m shaking” if the introduction of these things upsets you, you might need to leave, because more is coming. We all know that.

This whole discussion is pretty pointless anyway. nothing is going to change. if you feel triggered by /spit then turn off emotes, or block the players doing that.

In my opinion both, those who buy boosts, mtx etc. and support greedy marketing strategies, and those who are generally toxic or hostile towards other players are making the game experience worse in their own way at the end of the day

There is nothing wrong with the community. The community was the same in 2005. I remember the first week of open beta in 2004 that people were trying to find ways to exploit the game to get more xp. I remember people even in 1997 playing Ultima Online to find a way to cheat. I remember in 1992 that I was playing Street Fighter in an arcade game shop and all the kids were picking E. Honda spamming the fast punch button to keep the other player stunlocked forever. Or people picking Dhalsim and spamming the low kick to perma knockdown.

This is human nature. People will always take the path of least resistance, aka. the easiest way to maximise their profits. What is wrong here is the developers that make the game and set the rules. It is a well-known cat and mouse game between the players and the devs and it is the natural cycle of life. Players try to find shortcuts → devs stop them from it by removing those shortcuts.

What happens in Bobbylizard games is however: Players find a shortcut → Bobby sees the profit incentive in it → Bobby puts a better shortcut on the cash shop to make money → The game loses its meaning and integrity.

There is NOTHING wrong with the classic community. They are acting on their primary instinct of being a member of the Great Apes family in biology. They want to get the most out of their time. This is evolutionary. This is normal.
What is not normal is that the company promotes this behaviour at the expense of their game. Yes, players were buying dungeon boosts with gold, then the way to fix it is to REMOVE IT FROM THE GAME. Not add another way to boost. Oh and one last thing: There is more dungeon boost groups than ever these days lol, I made a good bank on my paladin already.

There is also a third group: People crying about both of these groups. It is cryception.

I personally don’t spit on boosties. But I saw one keyboard turner boostie doing 50 dps on my ZG run and I kicked him from the group. Nothing personal, standart tariffs. But there are boosted people who know the game already, and I can’t blame them for taking advantage of such a blatant p2w feature in a MMO. It is legit 1-2 hours of real life money for a new character, nothing wrong with buying it. Wanting it in the game before it was implemented, however, was a horror show but they had Bobby on their backs so yeah it is here now.

But I spit on people that bought the deluxe edition and ACTUALLY use that ugly mount/toys. What a disgrace. It is normal to get spat on for having such bad taste man, the hell is that thing?

my god it is ugly isn’t it, i wouldnt even bother skinning it

Are there any for Earthshaker?

Surely a player as elite in the pvp scene as yourself Meiterumi doesn’t require a discord to hunt and kill boosted characters in poor quality gear that literally have a set quest path that dumps them in PvP enabled zone (if you’re on a PvP server).

If you do then I’m sure some of the people here wouldn’t mind giving you some pointers.

I’m okay with that.

Don’t worry, I’m out the moment blizzard announces the tokens, if not earlier. Hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy farming heroics and karazhan before that.

People have been using spit to show contempt for other players since before the game was officially released. If you don’t like it, don’t play the game.

Just a guess, but probably because people can pay for a service people who are broke cant afford, probably because it creates alot of people with high lvl in classes they got no idea about, probably because the more people buy, the more things blizzard will make buyable, like retail who got 2000 toys and 5000000 mounts and nothing feels spesial.

As for me im against it, but at this point i know nothing will stop blizzards greed when people keep tossing money at them, so i given up and just hoping another good game come along soon without cash shops.

I know, I’ve played it that long. I’ll be playing it for a long time to come as well. I haven’t come across anyone that won’t group with me yet because of my purchasing decisions, I haven’t even been spat at. It really must be a tiny minority, and that’s good news for the average player.

Not something, a game service.

Games aren’t immoral, they are made to be enjoyed.

so do you think that tokens doesn’t exists already in classic?

people in classic can easily find others to gift them Tokens from Game-Shop For classic in game gold. Enjoy the info.

Why not buy it? Not that those people stole it or something, they legally bought it, from game producer (owner)

What I am bothered the most, why didnt these people start hate train against gold buyers in classic, against people who bragged about buying gold and getting unfair advantage in game? These people are thieves, not those who bought legallly from Blizzard
Why didnt you /spit and harras them, you knew who they were but you chose to stay silent? This is most hypocrytical thing in whole game and noone raised voice. Sad.

Cause they get a turn on by hating on blizzard it seems. Instead of dealing with way more problematic things, which makes me question why they even playing this game.
