The point, at least MY POINT, cause I made the forums post is not “why the change”, my point is clear “WHY NOW”.

If it was like that from launch and I was crying three months later on the forums that its weak its my fault. But now it totally ruins the fun out of it. How many dks are gonna be guildless just before ulduar because their guilds decide to take warlocks or whatever class instead?

This change was not needed at all. Later raids gargoyle will not be OP simply cause of fight lenght and mechanics.

its ridiculous, now we are locked behind a wrong race and can not even swap to optimal frost gameplay.

Why not ? New phase is coming, they are going to ruin HCs, PvP, Ulduar, Naxx, whole gearing process, why not FINALLY fix one of the most glaring issues in the game …

If you are not all fotm rerollers, then just continue playing unholy even if you got “wrong race”
I have played human fire mage whole tbcc, undead warlock fire specced whole tbcc, shadow priest in arenas 2k+ in 2s/3s, gnome rogue in arenas just because I liked the image of little girl kicking tauren and orcs in the gnads … I could have rerolled into unstunnable orc, double trinket undead or demon hunter human, like everyone 2k+ did, but I didnt, because even though my combo was weaker, I just had more fun …

You are not getting neutered or anything, you will still be among the top dps, only now it wont be 413543413145K dps ahead of everyone …

If you joined normal guild, then you can just continue doing your stuff, you will still outDPS majority of classes, and you are getting new gear in ulduar anyway, so whats the point …

If you joined some sweaty tryhards who stacked 18 DKs to melt every boss in 30s, then dont cry you got booted out when new cheese is on the block …

I was running with GDKP group in tbcc, they required everyone to have all possible specs always ready, know how to play them, have all gear prepared and when there was missing class/spec and you didnt have secondary role, you were forced to pick up new class or get kicked …

I hated HATED playing retri and feral in TBCC and it was common for me to burn several THOUSAND gold every weak on talent resets …
Did I complain ? (hell yeah I did xD) No, I didnt, I just shut my mouth and googled how to seal twist, because I chose to run with this group of people, I had fun playing with them … and it got me boatload of money every month … and I made few sacrifices just to keep playing with them …

garg snapshoting was allways a thing its blizzlike feature
its not a new thing that came with dw unh dk
pro udks allways used haste meta to snapshot their garg in pvp for 10years+

unh dk may be op af now but in uld affli is just better, fdk is really good especialy on hodir because he crits way more
and unh will be worst melee on icc patch so this change is bad for future of unh dks

If i went troll for minmax and now I wouldnt be best race I would be mad too

Hardcore guilds making their DKs reroll? Hardcore speedrunning guilds have people playing multiple classes in case this happens anyway.

OG Garry has a delay on casts so snapshotting DKs weren’t doing 12k DPS in T7 gear. The version you scrublords were abusing was from MoP.

You could ALLWAYS snapshot garg with haste on wrath 3.3.5a(which is wotlk classic RN)
yes garg is supposed to have delay between casts but its for other discussion - go tell blizzard that garg is supposed to have that

if they nerf unh dk by adding delay between casts sure thats good because thats how its supposed to work
if they nerf unh dk haste snapshot in WOTLK+ sure but this is WOTLK CLASSIC for now

and if they start making custom class changes to wotlk classic then I want complete balance patch notes every month buffing bad classes/nerfing good classes - I would love that, why not (but I dont think blizzard in 2023 is capable of doing that especialy pvp wise)

next time say that dks are not supposed to do this dmg on naxx patch and I will take that but dont claim that garg couldnt be snapshoted by haste - it was way worse because of the delay

Especially when it’s this huge. Garg should’ve been fixed when it was noticed on the wotlk ptr, end of story.

Soooo what you are trying to say if blizz turned gargoyle into flying totem that needs 20 seconds out of its 30 second life to land before it starts attacking, and then it takes 1 second coffee breaks between each attack, all these fotm rerollers would be happy and content ? :thinking:

Its 1.5sec like standard GCD going down to 1 sec with haste … +0,3 cast time if you got lots of haste …

And it still is, what they should’ve done instead of not snapshotting haste is making the gargs attack have a cooldown like it did in OG.

garg is NOT supposed to have GCD, hes supposed to have delays between casts thats two different things

They’re supposed to have both which is why haste functions the way it does.

That delay was “gcd for pets” … so ok, it has 1,5 second “delay” between attacks, going down to 1 sec “delay” if you had lots of haste + it still had cast time

I dont care enough to argue about details, the thing is that fotm rerollers are whining about nothing, gargoyle doesnt work even remotely how it should in wotlk, and it will still be op in both pve and pvp …

pservers were wondering how to make gargoyle “blizzlike” for years cuz they either made him broken or trash

pets are actually trash in pvp their reaction time is like 2sec for gnaw I saw many udk complaining about it
garg cant change target hes attacking with /petattack etc…

You can quite literally see the GCD on any pet in effect right now.

Hell, just look at your pet bar when your damned ghoul uses an ability. They 100% have, and should have, a gcd.

Gargs strike, on top of this, had a minor cooldown which is what’s missing in WotLK Classic.
