Why were bfa trinkets so boring?

I started in legion, we had so many intresting trinkets

now we just have boring ones  anyone remember these?

Or even just pure stat trinkets! but yeah, i really miss the legion trinkets overall ;

Just me? Puts on boomer cap

Meanwhile BFA :

Healer - Dis a heal
Dps - Dis aoe or singletarget deemeege
Tank - Disashield

Overall for the most part - Stats, bcuz potatoes!

I think in BFA azurite armour was the trinkets so they never really cared
And then we got essences
Then corrupted gear

Drest trinket is the funniest thing ever!

I thought bought of those were supposed to compensate for gear sets & legendaries

Doesnt excuse the past trinkets tho!

im not saying I agree with it but the gear did give buffs and shields and stuff which is what the best trinkets did so im not sure what they could have done on top of them

I know, but still i thought that was replacing legendaries & gear sets, azerite being the gear sets & essences being the legendaries

Made em more intresting

Or fun

Or flippin
 SOMETHING!

More trinkets like Death bringers will, and I’ll literally post every individual Blizzard employee a box of chocolates.

The raid trinkets weren’t that bad tbh. Not as cool as some legion trinkets (especially some of the class specific ones) but not as bad as bfa dungeon trinkets either.

The bfa dungeon trinkets felt very lackluster. But this might be due to them being available early on in the expansion and also them being available at every possible ilvl.

My trinket that shoots fish at people is my favorite trinket since DBW.

Can’t even remember any legion trinkets except for the crystal stat stick everyone spent the entire expansion trying to get.

Mythic drest and every tank trinket prior to 8.3 would like a word with you. Or we could talk about the EP intellect trinket which even melee dps were wearing.

This expansion has been sadly disgustingly in favor of raid tier trinkets/essences in all content from the word go, in all areas of content which is kinda worrying when their looking to gut other means of gearing in SL.

Like the BiS stat sticks from WQs?

I don’t remember any of the trinkets you linked. Only trinket I remember from Legion is the Drought of Souls because it was OP.

Last memorable trinkets I can think of are from WoD, specifically the HFC raid.
SoO from MoP had some good ones too.

I remember there was a trinket in Throne of Thunder in MoP that performed crazy when being in the hands on a afflic lock. Unerring Vision of Lei Shen. When used right the lock’s dps rocketed skyhigh the rest of the fight or so due to the mechanics in the affliction spec. Blizzard nerfed it pretty fast.

Ashvane Trinkets and Azshara’s Font of Power are pretty cool.

N’zoth Tank trinket is stupid strong, it’s fun.

Hated the caster Crucible of Storms trinket, but it was also quite innovative.

Also really liked the Jaina caster trinket, although it was garbage most of the time.

Then there’s the Opulence trinket which caused raids to split into a trinket camp and a non trinket camp, pretty notable, imo.

Grong Strength trinket which causes you to enrage and pummel everything in front of you to death (still incredibly strong on Blood DK, even two contents later), G’huun trinket, notably the worst trinket ever, Mechagon Punch Card, a great versatile trinket which has been used and is still being used in a wide variety of ways, the mechagon bicycle, that crashes into people, Merektha’s Fang, that’s currently being abused by DHs using their eyebeam haste to deal insane amounts of burst dps, Dribbling Ink Pod, the trinket that caused Mythic Azshara to drop from 30% to 20% within half a second, as well as murdered our DH during Maut progress, Vita-Charged Titanshard which is finally a trinket that supports the group that isn’t Jes Howler, and the Humming Black Dragonscale, which not only regularly buffs you cool looking wings, but also was a giant mistake with it giving you random slowfall.

I feel like

is somewhat subjective. There’s great trinkets in BFA, just not for every class.

It’s still better than “hope for a titanforge on your unstable arcanocrystal and play it even if it doesn’t titanforge, for the rest of the expansion”.

Pocket-Sized Computation Device is the most creative trinket idea ever introduced to WoW. Too bad it’s almost impossible to improve this customizable /upgradable trinket beyond 430 ilvl.

20 sec pulls aint fun mate

Whole expansion was DSAG.

Dribbling Inkpod, Azsharas Font of Power, Lingering Sporepods, Revitalizing Voodoo Totem, Void Stone, Harbingers Inscrutable Will

Just some of the pretty cool trinkets we had in BFA, but i will agree that most dungeons trinkets were just boring.

Well 4 of your 5 suggested trinkets are basically shield/stats with just longer text and some non-sense added in them, such trinkets are far from being fun. Even that mana regen trinket is useless, who in the world in any serious content would delete himself for 10s? It’s just better to cast few mora mana efficien skills to gain same mana.
Trinkets that gives you big boom are the most fun and engaging ones.

I made this thread because these were the trinkets i used the most :sob: specially the kiss-leech one! it even had 3 charges!

The ones from nazjatar was a little bit, but still pretty lackin overall in cool trinkets

I said boring, not bad ones

I never really liked that trinket

Was nice to have secoundary stats, but all the red cards where so meh

Dwhatnow?

Most of those trinkets seems to hit mah criteria

Fair point  but you couldnt kiss people to give them leech or stuff like that in bfa!

Heck is there even any trinkets below 20 secound cd or that has more than 1 charges?

Yeeh even the dps trinkets were visually boring.

Not to mention that they were also gutted for Disc priest. cries
