It is, elites on the end of every floor (and everything else) that required a little bit of skill to do before now are just melting and dying without taking me below 50% hp (no self heal used), and i’m only 196 ilvl and that’s on layer 8.
I get that, but what does it matter to those players? If they don’t even do any challenging content, they really don’t need that weekly +200~ soul ash that comes from 2 layer 7 and 8. They still would’ve been able to upgrade their legendaries like 1 week after we do. They just got a nerf due to their crying about something that’s irrelevant for them, because they don’t need that currency.
So in order for “casuals” to craft lego for the 160 soul ash they need to butcher the content for people who prefered progress, learning and experimanting…just awful.
Soul Ash is overated. Once you’ve got the one you want you don’t need to think about it for weeks until the next lvl of legend armor is craftable, by then you’ll have enough for it.
And besides, you can get better gear from raiding and mythic+ super easy at much higher ilvls with no need to collect ash, craft an item, craft inscription, etc.
So many Biased people here. Currently Torghast is too difficult because of major class inbalances. No iLvl will change the difficulty a Warlock has vs a Protection Paladin. It should be accessible by everyone and now it will. It will still be difficult but at least all classes manage to do it in their respective specs.
I litterally had to change from Retri to Protection to do Layer 8, took me roughly 1,5 hours to complete with iLvl 195 gear. It was impossible on Retri due to the insane high damage I received. Imagine going into a layer 8 with a full group, tank and healer. Clearing all the way up till Floor 5 and 1 single elite which you cannot skip is able to 1shot the entire group with unblockable aoe spell. Kinda overkills it.
Stop saying “I can do it EZ so it shouldn’t be nerfed”. You are not the entire community. Blizzard does analysis on everything. Torghast clears per class, raidbosses etc. They don’t read forum and look at 5 people calling it unfair. No they have Data to back up their choices to do nerfs and buffs. See a lot more pruning incoming in the coming weeks. Raids included
I was getting by on my ilvl 178 Mage then they applied that patch and getting beyond became impossible for me. There were just too few anima rewards, assassins respawning too rapidly and everything buffed extremely high.
The recent changes are good step in the right direction that will make mounting in the maw more viable for most of the player base.
The experts can keep going beyond floor 8 if they want. I’ll be stopping at 8 and then only doing wing 1 runs each week for extra quickness.
Again you are speculating alot. And saying majorit in a dungeon/raid based game as power progress through ilvl being the main driving force with the steap curve in difficulty is not important is an oximoron of itself.
What does it even matter to you if it’s a challenge or not? You don’t even have heroic dungeon ilvl, no legendary (which is accessible to anyone who did layer 3-s on the first 2 weeks, which was already not a challenge). Stay in normal dungeons and let people have something challenging instead of asking for a nerf when you don’t even do it at all.
It’s ridiculous that things get nerfed because of people like you.
I’m really glad I found this thread.
Just this evening I have turned 60, and so far I have been to torghast twice. Everything feels far far to easy to kill. I’m running round as a holy priest just collecting everything and spamming Aoe. I really hope I don’t have to keep going back. Feels like islands but with corridors. Hope I’m wrong
It’s not though. It’s the numbers blizzard gets back. They are themselves not happy with cleartimes, nr of failing Torghasts, certain classes/specs unable to clear it. That’s why they decide to fix it. Not because there are 10 posts on the forum asking for a nerf
