Will the alliance ever get Gilneas back?

I feel a bit concerned for our canine compadres. Are they going to ever see their city back in their hands? Greymane’s getting on a bit now, and has no heir…

Where are they all pitching up as Darnassus got fried?

I feel like it hasn’t really moved on much since Cata

They already have it back, it is just we never get to go there which is a shame. Part of me thinks this we could go there in the Worgen heritage armour quest chain but that depends on how far it is in the queue.

I would assume it would be after Gnomes.

Oh I hadn’t realised that. Well that sucks. Even Suramar got a (very limited) portion of their city restored with NPCs.

Up your game, Blizzboi.

It is retaken in lore at the time lordaeron was blighted. Question is if Blizzard is willing to do a full scale revamp.

It was taken in Cata’ after the Forsaken were driven out.

And the missions also say Alliance has reconquered Darkshore. Don’t trust the missions, they are just some intern’s hopeful dreams.

So what about the refugees from the Howling Oak, where are they now as it’s the Barbaqued Oak these days?

Probably in Stormwind, with half the population of the Alliance these days.

Hopefully, if the expansion end as it was hinted (one continent -sans the BC starting zones- for each faction), Gilneas will be retaken and we’ll get to see not only Worgens but also Night Elves doing something impressive there.

But since BFA’s endgame seems to be a mess, even for the devs, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

With the war raging in Kul Tiras, Zandalari, Arathi, and now Darkshore thanks to the clown Tyrande and her little smurf elves, we do not have neither the time nor the resources to reclaim and rebuild Gilneas. Perhaps when the war is won.

But what if tomorrow Blizzard will tell, that Night Elves win the Darshores Warfront, and rebuild Lordanel city. Now all the battle happens on the north with trolls tribe, and on the south in Ashenvale forest.
Plus In burned Teldrassil some people manage to survive hiding in underground caves, and now evacuation is going there.

Than table missions will not sound so wrong? )

btw rescue civilians in Teldrassil, which is burning, bringing them to underground caves, can be nice starting event for new NE joiners. All new NE players will be total Horde Haters. )
And after reaching 10 lvl they will come to new Darkshores.

That would mean the Alliance gaining something. So no.

There is a much higher chance that Undead Nightelves will be a allied race :stuck_out_tongue:

It is back to the Alliance. After BfA Stromgarde will be Alliance’s.

Ah yes Tess, true enough. She’s not a Worgen though (yet?..)

(As a side note it would be pretty awesome to be able to play as an unafflicted Gilnean humans, but can’t see that ever happening).

Since they were normal humans before, u could just play human, but no that would be madness…

Or we could enjoy playing through an alternate story as actual Gilnean where you avoid getting bitten, but no that would just be madness…

So u need new race that looks same like humans to play 2 hours long questline for new characters. Becouse u can pick normal human and pretend to be from Gilneas perfectly entire game, just not that few quests.

I like the idea of something you apparently don’t I guess.

Mind blowing, I know.
