SPOILERS AHEAD
Since we will be fighting Grommash Hellscream in new megadungeon, do you think we will get high res Gorehowl from WoD? As a weapon item or maybe a quest item that will start some questline and it will end up with us getting it as transmog.
So far nothing has been datamined but i think it’s the best chance to add it, since it was also considered as legendary weapon drop in WoD.
EDIT: Or maybe it will be a weapon added alongside Gul’dan staff to trading post?

I’ve loved Gorehowls look since I first saw it, and I loved the HD version, and was so mad they didnt add it…
Me too, I always use it on my orc, gorehowl and edge of agony.
Waited so many years for this and now they have grommash fight, hope they don’t forget about it again…
Just wait for it to be an Alliance only fight, where only alliance can get it - while Horde can only get Lothars sword.
“blood-soaked-book” wit horde book icon item that starts a quest, appeared in the files apparently that got added in recent ptr updates and some 3 other weapons but no gorehowl so far, only tyr hammer and 2 staves. But this item is interesting, could be nothing but maybe it will lead to something.
If it’s added - it’ll be a drop I think, tbh.
Lothar would drop the ‘‘Great Royal Sword of Stormwind’’ and Grom would drop ‘‘Gorehowl HD Mode’’. Either they’re by faction (The bosses), and the weapons will be moggable by both sides (makes most sense) - or it changes weekly which side you join, and you’ll transform into Orcs/Goblins as Alliance, and Horde turns into Humans.
I wonder how they will do it, since there is now cross-faction stuff.
Honestly i will take it anyway they add, quest or quest item that starts a quest, something maybe recovering gorehowl that was left by garrosh in the vale or just as item drop.
I will take this as trading post too, but it would just nice to see this being available in the game for us to get.
Pretty sure it has been recovered by the Horde already, and is probably somewhere within Orgrimmar. Still an important weapon to the Orcs.
Yeah i still wonder about that, because it was never mentioned again.
Description on item i mentioned is this "“The blood has long since dried. Oddly, the text in this book appears to have been written after the blood dried, not prior to it being soaked in blood.” Weird.
I read somewhere else and well it’s pretty much true, that in TOTC from WOTLK as horde you were killing alliance champions in one encounter and you were getting horde themed transmog from them, such as dual-blade butcher so maybe here it will be the same.

I doubt it, though I think it’d be fine if they did implement it.
I agree. It was weird having main artifacts for warrior be only swords and just have 2 different versions of axes for additional look.
Shamans got doomhamer i think it was only fitting then for arms warriors to get gorehowl.

I think dev choosing artifacts for warriors in Legion was more into swords than axes. 
I think Gorehowl was an abandoned Legendary they had planned for WOD, before they scrapped the expansion to work on Legion more. It’s a damn shame it never made it into the game as a player weapon for sure.
If it does get added tho, would be kinda anti-climatic to make it a dungeon drop.
Well it was planned to be a drop from grommash fight, because he was supposed to be the last boss of WoD. *typo

Explain how - We will be fighting the same boss that was supposed to drop this weapon, how is this anti-climatic in your mind.
There won’t be another grommash hellscream fight or WoD, another thing is that it’s been 10 years already, it’s weird how someone that likes this weapon would like to wait another 10 years for nothing to happen again.
Something that is earned with little effort has little value, little satisfaction or gratification. I have no desire to go clear popcorn content like a dungeon and just see another cool transmog added to my collection with an irrelevant weapon that will either be replaced by a M+/Raid weapon or in the event of M+ version of the dungeon, replaced possibly several times by a higher ilvl version of the same weapon.
It will just be another easy transmog that everyone has and is effectively a done deal. The other option is they make it an extremely rare item and then you have to farm a trivial piece of content a million times to try to get the item when you’d rather be doing something else.
Gorehowl if it ever gets put back in the game as a high res model should be a raid item/quest, possibly mythic only. And I say that as someone who won’t be able to get it if it was that way because I don’t raid in retail and I don’t plan to.
Well i disagree with you completely on that one.
That’s a weird thinking, it seems like you would be alright with gatekeeping behind some type of content, an item that you wouldn’t be even trying to get? It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.
To me you’re just a type of player that didn’t want hi res version of gorehowl enough, since you don’t even care if you would get it or not, at least you’re the first player playing warrior that i saw, saying that. edit*
But i guess we will just have different opinions on that and will never come to an agreement.
