Windfury Totem Bug

Hey there,

i did find out others had this problem as well, but i couldn’t so far find a solution that works for me:

When in Instance with a Shaman i don’t get the buff from the windfury totem. I don’t see it on my Weapon, i don’t see the buff when it procs, i don’t see the animation and i don’t record any windfury damage in my dps meter.

I play a Rogue and i don’t have any poison applied to my mainhand (and it also didn’t work after i let my OH Poison tick out to double check), also no sharpening stones, etc.

Putting the weapon in my backpack and re-equipping it did nothing. Leaving and re-entering the instance didn’t work. It happened to me two or three times now in different instances and groups.

Earlier i was grouping with a Shaman in the open world for a quest and everything worked as expected.

Some People on reddit experiencing the same got answers saying the Shaman and buffed Player having different PVP Settings. But i am playing Classic fresh on a PvP Server - i don’t think i can even change Settings. Or can i? Any other ideas? It sucks

Perhaps it was a faction owned zone? like the barrens or westfall, and certain instances like scarlet monastery or razorfen kraul/downs are also within a faction owned zone

here if your pvp is enabled, at the shaman is not, OR vice versa, you will not get windfury
look for the faction flag/banner on your characters portrait! if it shows pvp is enabled
